I went for so long not being able to listen to music at work, that I automatically just scroll past videos when they're posted. Not anymore! I need to remember to actually press play!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Yea, someone in another thread is speculating it will be for Globalfest which is in NY, would be up Pearl Jam's alley, and makes a good amount of sense based on the image.
Very happy to see The Decemberists, Tallest Man, Sufjan and some of the smaller acts. I know Roger Waters and the Dylan thing are a big deal but I'm not really interested. May skip the Friday and Sunday closer and go out for a good seafood dinner instead. Probably not my most favorite lineup but, I may be surprised.

Even if you're not excited about them, please don't miss those for dinner! Just hang out near the back, see most of it and escape before the crowd leaves en masse. PLEASE!

Nice job with the mock lineup. Makes a lot of sense, especially who you put in the main stage and why.
Thanks! I wanted to put The Lone Bellow on the main stage as well on Friday, but the strong connection between Iron & Wine, Ben Bridwell, and Calexico makes me think they'll be placed together, and Iron & Wine and Ben Bridwell would almost definitely be a main stage show.
This is my least favorite lineup since I started paying attention and attending NFF. There seem to be A LOT of repeat acts, especially ones that tour all of the time. I also think that Newport missed out on some very exciting up and coming new folky acts (George Ezra, James Bay, The Hunts, Kaleo, Vance Joy, the Wind and the Wave, Jamestown Revival, Kacey Musgraves, etc.). It also seems like the acts get smaller very quickly when reading from top to bottom on the lineup (especially on Sunday which isn't really top heavy either). (I think part of my feeling stems from the fact that I've been actively seeking out folk acts in the past 3 years so I've crossed a lot of these acts off of my must see list already)
With that said, the lineup is still awesome; Newport still delivered. That Friday would be full of conflicts for me. Roger Waters is an awesome get. Sufjan, Jose Gonzalez, and Watkins Family Hour are very cool bookings. I really, really wish I could go (for both the music and to hang with you). But alas, work calls my name that weekend. I'm already looking forward to next year!
I feel that the whole announcement process ended very weak. How do you end announcements with 2 museum acts? Unless they plan to announce some of the 65 revisited acts to end it off. Very odd!
