What do we make of this follow Friday business from Lollas Instagram? They very well could be alluding to some acts that will appear on the bill. Did they do this last year?
I don't remember them doing that last year. I wouldn't read too much into it.
There is no Drake at Lolla. Metallica/Kanye/Jack White round out top 3. I doubt Drake would be on Bud Light, so that's my reasoning for not including him. Then again I think Jack White is probably BS, and someone is trolling on the lolla board.
I heard otherwise, from the exact same person who told me Kanye, which I shared in here weeks ago.
Have you heard anything else? Or just those two names?
I'm hearing mixed sources. Lolla board is claiming Metallica/Kanye/Jack White as top 3. That feels too good to be true, considering the top 3 last year. Fake Shore drive said "A source told them that Drake and ASAP Rocky are playing Lolla." Then on here, I've heard Kanye, Drake, Florence, and Sam Smith. So at this point, Greg Kot needs to leak some headliners.

Kot usually doesn't leak info until March, so at this point I'm resigned to just keep waiting. I'm keeping expectations low after last year's mess, but a top 3 of Metallica, Ye, and Jack would be the best of any festival so far this year.

Maybe Livenation joining C3 is a turning point for Lolla. I mean last year the number one act on the lineup was Eminem. Livenation works with Reading/Leeds and Glastonbury, so maybe Livenation switches things up slightly. Fingers crossed for that Top 3!

I'd say on-par with Coachella. Metallica and AC/DC, Drake and Kanye are equivalent to each other imo. This is the year of the under card!
On a different note, the head honcho for Osheaga said that he was looking at early March for a lineup reveal. Lolla usually have their lineup released first if i'm not mistaken?
True. But because of the close proximity for me I'm over the teenie bopper atmosphere there. Haven't had any issues yet so I got nothing to b*tch about.
If you live in Chicago and they have a decent lineup it's worth dealing with the shitty crowd. The worst of it is usually confined to Perry's most of the day anyway.
Been to Lolla 7 years, Roo 2. The crowds (minus perry's) really aren't that different. You encounter drunken assholes everywhere. You encounter great people everywhere.
