Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Promowest bought them!?!? That is awesome. Every show I go to here (Columbus) is booked by Promowest. They're always getting great acts. I'll be keeping my eye on this one. Especially since I'll probably have this weekend off anyways as part of my Roo vacation.
And according to the email I just saw on this subject from Promowest, the line up will be announced in Feburary.
Here's more from the same email. I posted before I read the rest.
The lineup for Bunbury festival will be announced in February of 2015.
PromoWest will bring in its current ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, to handle both festivals. All previously purchased tickets through ShowClix for the 2015 Bunbury festival will be honored at the main festival gate. Refunds, if needed, are available at the original point of purchase. Bunbury early bird single-day tickets are $49, 3-day passes are $109 and VIP is $349. Ticket prices will increase January 2, 2015. Additional pricing details are available at www.bunburyfestival.com .
I'm just guessing here, but maybe they didn't want to compete with the All Star game and Forecastle in mid July
I would think the All Star game would help their sales, being another attraction in the area...especially for one day tickets on Saturday/Sunday. Not to mention there will be people getting refunds because they already bought their tickets planning for the original weekend.
I get it that they will be able to share some of the Forecastle crowd since not many would be able to do back-to-back weekends, but I think they would have been better off to leave the dates as is. Good news though for the city of Cincinnati, PromoWest I expect will grow the festival into a major event.

Columbus always gets better concerts than Cincy, so hopefully that's a good sign. They seem to want to do some drastic changes to they layout, and have 4 stages instead of 6, so we'll see how that goes. Bunbury is a great festival, so hopefully they don't change a lot besides the quality of the bands.
I'm disappointed to read that they are reducing the number of stages to just 4. Less stages means less artists. One of the tings I liked about the way Bunbury operated is that with 6 stages, there was a very good chance there was always someone worthwhile checking out.
On the other hand, it is a good thing that things are being shaken up (at least that is what I am hoping) as they are booking acts. The festival was (and still is) looking for its own personality and that was lacking this year.
The fact that it is now taking place the weekend before Bonnaroo, could be excellent news as most 'Roo acts will be touring already then, and so hopefully they might want to play Bunbury as a warm-up opportunity before going to the 'Roo.
Only 2 months before we find out who all is booked for Bunbury.

This lineup traditionally drops around the second week of February. Anyone have any thoughts? Shouldn't be too hard to beat a Fall Out Boy - Paramore - Empire of the Sun - Flaming Lips top line.

I don't think it's very likely but Promowest had a Tricky date booked in Columbus last year but the tour got canceled due to visa issues. It would be really cool if he actually turned up on the line up.

Johnny Marr, Interpol, St. Vincent, War on Drugs & tUnE-yArDs were among the 100+ shows they put on at Newport Music Hall last year.
Future Islands, Todd Rundgren, George Clinton & P-Funk, Lorde, Wilco, Boston, Neutral Milk Hotel, Band of Horses, Modest Mouse, Beck, Santana, BB King, Arctic Monkeys, Pixies, The Wailers all performed at LC Pavilion in 2014.
The information page on their website lists a variety of shows they've prided themselves on bringing during their 30 year history. Wouldn't be surprised if some of these wind up on the bill.

According to setlist.fm 311 and O.A.R. have each played 10 shows at LC Pavilion since 2006 and both had gigs in 2014. Umphrey's McGee is 3rd with 9 in that same time frame including one in 2014. If they wanted to phone in some headliners it wouldn't surprise me if they got any of those.

I would really like to go this year. Hoping the lineup is more my style with promowest running things. Is hoping for My Morning Jacket asking too much? I could really see them upping their game this year.

Even though they're a month apart I still don't think they will share any big names with Forecastle. I also get the feeling the lineup isn't close to being finalized by the lack of activity/teasing on social media.

You may be right. I was thinking along the lines of the fest being close to roo, both in time and proximity, so they may be in the area. MMJ would definitely get me to my first Bunbury. I do have higher hopes this year than years past.

They teased this morning on twitter that Hive Hints start next week. I still think we'll have a lineup before Valentines Day.
First hint seems to point towards Ed Sheeran, Beach House, or Tegan & Sara.
What was the first hint?
Also, I'd be happy with any of those.
And to all the Promowest stuff in here, they are fantastic. As a Columbus resident I frequently benefit from their shows. Already this year I'm looking forward to Cherub, The Roots ft. The Wailers, Tycho, Sylvan Esso, and a bunch more. Friday they were responsible for the Jack White show here. But I'd bet that they don't do many repeat/duplicate bookings to try to bring more people to Bunbury from the Columbus market. Having a bunch of duplicates like that wouldn't do them any favors.
Promowest also loves MMJ, they're one of the band posters on the wall when you walk into the LC and they play them frequently on CD 102.5 (local radio station that is pretty much run by Promowest). But with Forecastle having them I can almost guarantee they won't be there. I haven't looked, but I'm sure there isn't much crossover between those two line ups because of timing and proximity. I know someone who worked on Bunbury last year or the year before and said they were in a bidding war over The Flaming Lips with Forecastle- I believe they won.

What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I'm a big fan of PromoWest too. I'm constantly jealous of the calendars for the LC, Newport, and Stage AE. The Jack White show killed on Saturday. Pretty excited to see them entering my market.

It's one of the biggest perks of living in Columbus. Their shows make Columbus tolerable, almost desirable, for me.

Clue #2
"We can't stop giggling about the image for this one. It's a bad habit."
The Offspring have an album called "Bad Habit". They also have a popular song called "The Kids Aren't Alright" which is pretty accurate for Andy and Ollie from Bob's Burgers
