I went Friday and Saturday and never had a single problem with the festival or how it was ran. When we got there the line was wrapped around the block and it still only took us 20-25 minutes to get in. I've waited longer to get in Centeroo. They also adjusted and opened to other entrances in a surprising fast reaponse time. I was able to get beer and food without ever waiting over 5 minutes and had great spots for everyone I wanted to see. We were rail for The Decemberists and then walked over to Kacey Musgraves and ended up about 10-15th row for the Avett Brothers.
Well, I am somewhat cooled off now. But I will say this: I've been to Bonnaroo, Forecastle, Governor's Ball, Pitchfork, Voodoo Experience - multiple times each - and a bunch of other local, small festivals, as well as dozens of shows at venues of all sizes. There've been ups and downs, pains in the ass that come with the territory.
And I can say 100% that I will NEVER go back to Bunbury. In six years of going to festivals, this was truly the first time I've ever been to an event where it was patently obvious the organizers had no idea what they were doing.
I bitch a lot about Forecastle's lineup, but logistically and organizationally, it's a dream come true compared to Bunbury.
Disclaimer: I only went Friday, and I hear that Saturday was better, but that's likely because they had far less people to deal with. They had 20,000 on Friday and obviously are not capable of managing that number of people. I am surprised that area is even certified to have 20,000 considering it's about 1/3 the size of Forecastle.
I'll echo this sentiment. Granted, we only went on Friday, but we will never go back. The crowd was entirely too large for the space and the whole thing seemed like a cluster-quack and detracted from the experience. Certainly not worth the money and time/energy.

They added two more entrances yesterday and there were less people so it was better, but Friday was bad. I heard some people missed Father John Misty due to an hour line.

Can we talk about that Tame Impala set? SUCH a shame it got cut off for rain, it was on its way to being one of the best sets I've ever seen. Best crowd I was in all weekend too.
Who makes guacamole happen!?!? Does a tabloid like the University of Oklahoma student paper make guacamole happen or do ME AND YOU make it exist? Just cause they write about it doesn't make guacamole exist - ME AND YOU MAKE IT EXIST!

Top 5 sets:
1. Royal Blood 2. Snoop Dogg 3. Catfish and the Bottlemen 4. Manchester Orchestra (BARRY BONDS) 5. Lindsey Stirling
Any of you catch that kids DJ set? I think he had good song choices and stage presence but holy fuck, he botched some songs really bad. The good thing is, he seemed to know when he messed up so I think he has some big potential.

1. Tame Impala 2. Snoop Dogg 3. Old Crow Medicine Show 4. The Black Keys 5. Royal Blood
Honorable mention to Father John Misty. I only saw him do about 3 songs but they were great. I wish I would have stayed at his set instead of running over to Temples, they were pretty boring.

I went all weekend and after Friday I was almost ready to not go back the rest of the weekend. Waited forever in line and missed most of Father John Misty. By the time I watched the end of FJM and Catfish and the Bottlemen I made my way to the "craft" beer area that was nearly out of beer by 5:30. I didn't eat Friday because the lines were so long and everything was just a cluster. Went to the Black Keys and ended up sitting in the back, after trying to stick out Tame Impala in the rain, with no view and the screens not working.
Saturday was not my favorite day lineup wise, really only cared about the Decemberists, but it was the best day of the festival. The crowd sizes were smaller, and older, and just a much better experience. Beer flowed all day, food lines were manageable and it was easy to get around a not so easy navigated fest.
Sunday was more similar to Saturday than Friday as things seemed to be smoother but with Twenty One Pilots the younger crowd was back. I was sitting in the back of the second stage in the shade when Lil Dicky was on, only on stage for about 20 minutes of his allotted 30. Before his last song he brought a girl on stage, after turning down the first girl because she was under 18, and proceeded to basically dry hump her the entire song. I would like to think he wore out his welcome to anymore festivals.
Overall after Friday the fest ran much smoother, think they need to cap attendance at less than 20k. They definitely should switched the main stage with the second stage as the sight lines and crown control was much better at the second stage. If you didn't get to a show early on the main stage to get a good spot you may have well just skipped it altogether. Surprise of the weekend was Lindsey Sterling, I thought the main stage would overwhelm her violin but he energy and dancers were incredible.
Top 5: 5. Lindsey Sterling 4. Father John Misty 3. Matt & Kim 2. Tame Impala 1. Royal Blood

I think you're exaggerating a bit with the crowds at the main stage. I got a good spot for all 3 headliners and didn't show up more than 30 mins early to any of them.

am i the only one who had a good time? ya friday was a bit of a clusterfuck but hey all the bands were great and saturday and sunday were awesome! i for one will be back next year
I had a great time. When I went in Friday I saw how far the stages were apart and how big the crowd was and instantly knew not to try and bounce back and forth and expect a good spot. That's just not going to happen at any festival that only has two bands playing at a time. The right side of both stages were easy to find great spots. I was rail for the Decemberists then like 7th row for Musgraves and Avett. I didn't even have to do anything besides zig zag thru people sitting down. I only saw like 2 out of 25 craft beers sold out on Friday. I ate at the pierogi place and never waited more then 5 minutes
