Looks like 2016 is a go! Me and 3 others are planning on doing a big Lake Eldorado tent. Should be about the price of Bonnaroo VIP. Does anyone know how fast they sell out?
Guarantee you if you put in a request for those dates, they will likely deny it and raise the price on you.
Put it on the Amex and the booking was accepted this morning. Wicked happy.
I would keep an eye on it once the dates are officially released. Some poking around the airbnb FAQs it looks like the host can cancel a reservation or change the pricing even after the booking has been confirmed. They may make some changes once they figure out what weekend that is.

'If the alteration is declined or it doesn’t get a response, the original reservation details remain intact."
Also, if they force the change, the policy states they have to refund me the booking price at the time of the alteration, and not at the time of booking, so I'd end up making money on the whole deal.

All around I'm okay with my chances.
I'd imagine they would just cancel you outright and then change it. Just saying you might want to book a refundable backup.

Oh I will probably book at least one other option, for sure. Maybe I'll get lucky with the house, who knows? There's a rodeway inn on indio blvd. that's going for $50 a night right now like 7 minutes from the fest, but from everything I've read that's the absolute worst part of town.

I stopped at the liquor store next to this hotel and they had a very nice father/son combo selling bootleg movies and they were adorable. Besides that I didn't find that area to be great to drive through but it was nowhere near unsafe or sketchy. The drive to Avenue 48 from there is nothing. I just booked 2 beds for 4 nights at this place and I'm going to maybe make 1 more reservation but I'd rather have this place $50 cheaper and 30 minutes closer than doing the Best Western Palm Springs again. Thanks for the hotel tip Katy. It is near a liquor store and a In N' Out, it has everything I need.
I search for hotel/house/car/flight deals all damn day, it's like a 2nd hobby for me. Finding a deal is such a high haha.

Thanks for the tip on rodeway inn, just booked a room there. Had been eyeing the Best Western right next to it as they will allow bookings for 2016 by this weekend, but rates were about $100/night.
If I don't book a room early and end up getting a ticket and actually going next year, I might end up sleeping on the floor of one of your rooms. I'm not asking so much as letting you know ahead of time. As a courtesy.

I have the opposite thing going on. I'm booking a room but probably won't be participating in the advance sale (because I have no idea what my life will look like a year from now).
So if people are getting tickets and decide not to go later on, think of me

I'm not even planning on going, but how did you and billybaroo book a room? Booking.com, the hotel website and hotels.com aren't allowing bookings past the first weekend of April

I google'd Roadway Inn. Went to the hotels site. Put in dates. Booked the room. The End.
Hmmm, I'm on the hotel website and finding it impossible to book a room beyond April 6, 2016

This.
I think you may be on the Best Western website. They're only allowing bookings up to April 6 right now.

Hotels.com has the Raintree's Cimarron Golf Resort for $152 a night for a full studio, and it's pay later/free cancellation. It seems like a really nice place and is very well reviewed, also within 30 minutes of the Coachella grounds.
Seems like a really good price for that level of accommodations, just figured I'd let you all know about it.
Seems like a bit of an uphill battle, isn't that how all fests with payment plans do things? Did Coachella not notify her of her payment status?
One year I had the same issue and my payment wasn't processed-- they sent an email that clearly explained that if I did not update my new card info my tickets and existing payment would be forfeited.
Also, they plaster warnings about the potential forfeiture at the point of purchase (multiple times, no?) letting you know that your tickets will be cancelled. It would be hard to argue that Coachella did not adequately let people know about this policy and practice.
Ok. I'm going to be a hell of a lot closer this year so I'm going to go for presale so I have no excuses. Is presale usually the few days after they announce the dates? So like early May right?
