How sure are we that MMJ will be getting a late night? Just looking at the schedule I'm trying to figure out who the pre headliners are. I assume Florence, and Robert plant but unsure about the last one maybe Alabama shakes? I could definitely see MMJ being the other name. I'm torn. On one hand if they're a pre headliner I expect them to have less conflicts with other acts I want to see, late night would be cooler and they could play a longer set but that's when I'm anticipating most of the acts I want to see to be playing.
With the lineup as is, I think it's definitely either MMJ or Alabama Shakes (that's assuming you're considering Kendrick a "co-headliner" and not "pre-headliner"). And while I realize this isn't the Artist Additions thread, I think any one of these names could also be pre-headliners IF somehow added: Beck, The Strokes, Wilco, The Pixies, Modest Mouse, St. Vincent.

i don't remember which thread i read it in but somebody suggested childish gambino as pre-hl kendrick

It's possible that MMJ is a pre-HL. However, I feel like MMJ as a pre-HL on What is less likely due to insider not knowing them as an act this year. I could be wrong, but I feel like she has always known the What pre-HL and HL acts in the past.
The difference between Rush fans and non Rush fans (AKA women ) is so awesome.
I had a female co-worker (who is not on Inforoo but has been every year since the beginning) tell me that "girls just don't like Rush" - to which I just responded with loud laughter. So I think she and I are both awesome - haha - we just don't both like Rush
I'm seeing them in Pittsburgh in February for like 12 bucks. I will let you all know how they are live.
They're even better live. I saw them open for White Demin last year. I'm pretty sure they're going to be playing March here again. I might have to check them out again.

I saw The Districts and Temples this last year and both were great. The Districts should have a new album out before Roo and if it is as good as I anticipate they with be one my most anticipated bands to see this year.

They have an album coming out in two weeks (2/10). Also going on tour

Really wish I could make this show. I had prior plans already cemented before I saw the announcement. Club Cafe is an amazing venue for shows like this
Maybe. If you're looking for action check the FireFly thread. It's where all the nonsense, speculation, and trashing is at these days.
But I thought this was Inforoo, not Infofly.
Lots of things other than Roo are discussed on these boards. The discussion of Fire Fly has remained in the Fire Fly thread as far as I know. Now that thread has been invaded with the great pancake/waffle war.

It has taken quite a quick turn toward the antics of the headliner dumpster fire... I love it
I think this is the most quiet I've seen Inforoo this close after a lineup drop. Does that speak for the lineup?

Hey! We'll get our shit together one of these days... But that's looking about as likely as the lineup dropping at this point. Glad everyone's enjoying the group shenanigans. So has it really been more dead around other threads compared to other years? Or do you think the firefly lineup is holding back more discussions?
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

It seems there isn't as many active band threads compared to the last couple years. I remember 2010 being fairly dead around these parts. Either way, I don't think Inforoo is a large enough sample of Roo attendees to really say if that's a statement on the lineup or not. It does seem pretty clear that a good percentage of regular posters aren't overjoyed. At least with the top lines.

I don't think the FireFly thread has been holding anything else back. I guess everything else is slower than usual for this time of year and there is still a lineup to be speculated about in that thread plus the partnership with Goldenvoice has probably peaked some interest. That starts next year, right? Whenever I check recent posts there is almost a whole page of FireFly posts with a couple of other threads sprinkled in. It doesn't bother me. It's easy to scroll past, but I've been using the recen threads option a lot more.

Inforoo is kinda dead these days. But I think its a combination of a weaker line-up and being released a month early. Normally we have a month longer to bullshit and get excited and wait for Insider/Infinitypass. In past years, we still wouldn't have a line-up at this point.
This board needs an outlet for snarky comments and boredom.

Yea that makes sense. I remember my first roo last year, was talking to a random and was mentioning inforoo and they just gave me this blank stare like wtf, didnt realize everyone didnt know about it! So basically the traffic that frequents inforoo is less enthused than the general populous. Im actually pretty happy with roos lineup but im more willing to look past a week headliner group, im easy to please what can I say

I didnt realize inforoo needed time to generate the madness, basically just got blue ballsed so I see how things went awry.

It's pretty much how you would think. It usually fairly quite in the off season. Nov-Dec is the buildup. Then Jan. and Feb. are typically the insanity months. March until Roo is planing, helping newbs and setting up meetups, etc.

And then May... you eagerly sit around, staring at the clock on your computer screen, counting down each minute closer to roo
