Was really hoping for Ryan Adams and Father John Misty. Surprised Robert Plant is #6. Under act is really solid, but I'll collect more thoughts and report back

Initial reaction is great disappointment. So many bands I was hoping for didn't make the cut. Scheduling of the top acts seems easy to predict. How could it not be Kendrick Lamar into Deadmau5, Florence into Mumford, Robert Plant into Billy Joel, with My Morning Jacket and Bassnectar as your late night Which acts.

lots of cool bluegrass (Mumford not included, if you think that's bluegrass...i don't even know...). other than that, not too excited about this lineup. it just seems like the cooler acts peppered in there will probably conflict with each other
Billy Joel - Never seen Mumford & Sons - Never seen Alabama Shakes - Never seen Flume - Was in the tent at Coachella but it was so packed I had to leave Belle & Sebastian - Never seen Tears for Fears - Never seen and HUGE memories Brandi Carlile - Never seen and absolutely love her SBTRKT - Saw at Ultra, really solid MCMW - Seen, love Tove Lo - Never seen Run the Jewels - Never seen Sylvan Esso - Never seen Bleachers - Saw at Coral Skies, they were really good Rudimental - Saw at Coachella AWESOME LIVE! Jungle - Saw on Jewels, awesome band, never seen live Courtney Barnett - Saw at Coachella - She's one of my favorites Royal Blood - Never seen
Without doing research. I'd say thats a massive win. OVER THE MOON

Even though I knew the top line, seeing it on the poster makes me a sad panda. There are definitely going to be a few really good shows but it doesn't seem as special as normal to me. Also I don't see Primus? that would definitely be the nail in the coffin for me.
Disappointed that Weezer, Death Cab, St. Vincent, TV on the Radio and Tame Impala aren't there. But the surprise of SLAYER almost made up for all of it. Still a very strong undercard IMO even if it's an underwhelming year for headliners.
Speaking of that...So is deadmau5 going unopposed with third billing?
So many artists people just assumed would be there... Alt-j, tame impala, panda bear, st. Vincent, Matt/Kim, all of whom I really really expected to see Hopefully "more to be announced" means a ALOT more. Perhaps the release is early because they don't have all the artists yet and plan to release another chunk later on.

I'm planning on traveling abroad in April so I was excited at the possibility of a down Roo year. Now... I want to go to this. Yikes. But also yay! But uh oh.
it's weird, i can't help but feel that way too even though I love almost all of the acts we got. If we get some Hellfyre members added or on the small stages I'll be satisfied, tho.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.
Kinda surprised with the order in which some of the acts are billed but oh well. Slayer and Awol are both nice surprises for me. I saw Awol at a free show this summer and he was great, can't wait to see them on the farm.
