One of my greatest inforoo regrets is adding the Crepe option to that poll. French toast, crepes or any other breakfast food has nothing to do with the discussion at hand in that thread.
crepes are stupid. who actually eats crepes for breakfast regularly?
Whoever they are, they have my support.
I would so eat crepes every day for breakfast. Since this is inforoo...
Crepes Pancakes French Toast Waffles
I love them all, but you can't beat the versatility of a crepe.
I mean, I do really love food. I love it so much actually, that I eat it a few times a day. When I'm sad, it's always there for me. Sometimes, I just want to confess my love from the top of a mountain, but Philly is short on mountains, so I talk about crepes on inforoo instead.

I, Bonzai, apologize for instigating the crepe addition to the poll. It has cause nothing but problems is stealing precious pancake votes and allows for random "FRENCH TOAST!" cries. I sincerely apologize for the crepe. I only hope that Dave, and the other pancake voters out there, have it in their hearts to forgive me. And for the waffle lovers... I don't care about you.
In other news, I never once ate crepes for breakfast and in 10+ months living in Paris I never once ate a crepe with anything sweet- nutella, jam, etc.. I only ate crepes sallees ("salty" crepes), which basically meant non-sweet. Ham, egg and cheese or some sort of variation there of. I ate crepes for lunch/dinner/drunken night food.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I just wanna throw it out that I'm listening to Songs From The Big Chair in it's entirety right now for the first time in a while and it's really just hitting me that I'll get to see them perform a bunch of these songs live and it's going to be amazing. (They should seriously just perform the entire album at Roo since it's the 30th anniversary)
I am really enjoy The Districts new album, that NPR is streaming right now, and I am looking forward to seeing their show on the farm. They were great when I saw them open for Temples this fall.

Definitely too big, but they'd be perfect for Thursday. I'm surprised they're not on the festival circuit at all, maybe next year?
agreed on all points. I was actually just thinking about how surprised I was that they aren't playing any festivals just last night.
I've seen them a couple of times and they are just so good live. their opening set for interpol last fall was incredible - they completely won the crowd over, when I'm sure a majority of people had never even heard of them yet.

Agree completely. Researched them before seeing Interpol last year and fell in love. They're coming back to Tampa in March and cannot wait to see them again.

I definitely gotta plug Hundred Waters whenever I can. They're from Gaiensville, and it's awesome to see a Florida band making waves. Between them, Benjamin Booker and Merchandise, Florida's putting out a lot of great music lately.

Just saw a post on twitter. Comparing tier 4 price in 2011 and 2013 to tier 2 2015- A 31.5% increase for 2 general and an rv pass from 2011-2015. Wow! Including an 18.5% jump from '13 til now. $720 (level 4!) $814.60 (level 4!) 13% $964 (level 2) 18.5% 31.5% total. This is fucked.

...a brief breakdown of the potential for discussion on each headliner:
a. Billy Joel - I know some are excited for Billy Joel but he's about as uninteresting a headliner as you can have. You can only debate the appropriateness of Piano Man as a party song so many times.
b. Mumford - We've talked about them coming back ever since they cancelled, and even when they were booked last time we discussed whether they were headliner worthy ad nauseum.
c. deadmau5 - Pretty much the only thing to talk about is what his stage setup will be like. We pretty much all know deadmau5, most have seen him live.
d. Kendrick - Beyond hoping he steps up his game in terms of his live show, there is not much to do but wait and hope its a good show.
And it doesn't help that these questions have clear answers.
Yes, Billy Joel is an unexciting headliner. Or can we go ahead and start throwing out words like 'uninteresting' and 'unexciting' in favor of boring? I'm not saying Billy Joel's doubleplusungood. You'll still enjoy his show if you already enjoy his music or can get past the cheesiness inherent to every song he's ever written (some of us can't). And no, Piano Man is definitely not a party song. If you consider Piano Man a party closer, it's time to start having better parties.
Mumford: Yes, the comeback was inevitable. They were headliner then, they're a headliner now, and they're probably the #1 draw at this year's Bonnaroo (they would've been last time but Paul McCartney). Yes, they're kinda lame. But yes, they're fucking huge.
Deadmaus: Is going to get on stage and fiddle with some knobs wearing a ridiculous helmet. There actually is a valid question here -- does he play completely unopposed? I'm not sure. And no, he wouldn't have been billed above Skrillex on last year's lineup.
Kendrick: Plenty of album speculation, actually -- not a lot of details, but we know it drops soon (maybe real soon)? Anyway, he's a reach at #4 but if festivals are dead-set on booking rap headliners every time (they are) he's neither the first nor the last reach we see in the next couple years. And in the end, we'll have a much bigger slate of bankable rap headliners. Which is good, because a year ago, there were only three.

Also, crepes are legit.
I disagree with your argument that deadmau5 wouldn't be billed above Skrillex last year. Skrillex played LN Which, and was slotted behind Vampire Weekend, Phoenix, Avett Brothers and Lionel Ritchie. This year, deadmau5 is billed #3. How would he fall so many places? For comparison's sake, Gov Ball also has him in the top three while last year Skrillex was billed behind Vampire Weekend, Phoenix and The Strokes.

I started researching the lineup to find any additional acts that I like (No luck so far) I did discover one thing though. AWOLNATION is hands down the worst band I've ever heard

Anytime i see that name my head goes here
Haha, I think this version is an improvement over the original.

I have to say that I, too, was a little underwhelmed (and, perhaps, a little caught off guard) by the announced headliners. Since I bought my tix during the presale, lineup unknown, I was glad the rest of the lineup was decent.
While I wasn't in a hurry to see Billy Joel live, I think he will make a decent festival closer Sunday night. Sure, his interplay with the crowd will likely be boring, and he'll sit up there singing his songs looking completely disinterested. But, his singing will be fine, and it will be nice after a long, exhausting weekend to kick back on the VIP Hill and enjoy a fun sing-along to wrap things up.
I don't get all the Mumford hate. I almost think some of it is just because they actually were able to garner a little mainstream buzz, and are penalized for it. They aren't the greatest band in their genre, but I still enjoy them and I'm thrilled they get to headline.
Deadmau5, I just don't get. I had never even heard of him before this lineup was announced. But then again, I'm not really into much electronic music, and I don't get the appeal of going to a show to watch someone sit and press buttons and watch a light show. I'm not bashing, as music is subjective, and everyone likes what they like. It's just that I, personally, don't get it. And, with that said, I hope he doesn't go unopposed, as, if so, I will be looking for something to do during his set.
Kendrick, I will likely not be seeing, unless he goes unopposed, or the other available options are just dreadful. Again, everything is subjective, but, while I don't hate hip-hop, I can't honestly say I'm all that into it either. If there are no other decent options available at the time, I could see myself attending his set and enjoying myself, though.
But, yeah, the headliners could have been MUCH better!
