Doesn't Mumford usually play some shows around town after the fest too? That could easily be the "secret show". Not doubting Launchpad. I'm possibly driving 7 hours for one day of the fest just to see if this Bruce thing pans out haha.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't encourage anybody to do that on the chance it's wrong. Even if it's right today, things like this can change. Just don't want to see anybody spend money or travel long distances and then be disappointed.

Right on. If I can get tickets for $40 its well worth it for a day of JEFF The Brotherhood (who was one of my top acts at Hangout), Jenny Lewis, Flaming Lips and Mumford plus camping a night on the beach amd partying around town. Better than a Saturday in Batavia, NY.
Why are the tickets for the Seaside Heights show so cheap on StubHub? I mean they are $179 normally right? You can pick them up for $40 on Stubhub and there are tons below $100. Am I missing something?
I was wondering the same thing. Did you find out any more info?

No. Just seems to be some cheap tickets out there. Going up a little bit today. Was hoping they would keep going down and I could pick one up Monday for 30. Bidding on a few on eBay too and they seem to be closing around 50. Heck of a deal.

i think they picked a bad weekend. you have governors ball and mountain jam going on
Spoke to the guy I got the info from initially last night. He still says Bruce will be there. But now he says the secret aftershow I was referring to before is just Mumford and "maybe Bruce will show up." On the chance the Bruce thing turns out to be bogus, I'll make it up to you guys by posting next Saturday morning where the after show is going to be held (I would post it now, but don't want it leaking out and making it impossible for ppl to get in)
Well my boss is awesome and got me out of Friday so we'll be heading down Friday. Hve to wait for one of the crew to get out of work so we arent leaving until 4:30. Wont get to the fest until 11 which sucks because I didnt want to miss the Shakes. She says we can make it in 4.5 hours but I think that is probably impossible. But after we get our tents up we will be around town Friday night.
It looks like the prices are starting to go back up on Stubhub. Next time something like this comes up I'll have to remember that 2-3 weeks out is the sweet spot for low secondhand prices.

Oh wow. Yeah, there were tickets for $36 at one point last week. Cheapest is $80 now which is still half price of retail. Rumors of 35k plus tickets sold. Not sure I believe that.

I guess we'll find out Friday! I think some of it also had to do with a radio station that had a link selling the tickets - through GotR, not secondhand or anything - for $99. A lot of people (myself included) were pissed that the tickets they paid so much for was now being sold for less.
Just a reminder for anyone camping/attending - the weather says mid-60's and mid-70's for the highs this weekend. Take about 10-15 degrees off of that to account for the wind off of the cold ocean. It's definitely going to be really cold on the beach at night. Pack and plan accordingly. This will not be "Summer Beach Festival WOOOHOOOOO" flip flop, tanktop and shorts weather.

As I have mentioned before I have have a lot of friends who live in Seaside. Got a text last night: Mumford was at Jax Garage which is a well know boardwalk bar. They didnt perform. They were there bartending:

Again, I'll post tomorrow morning where Mumford is doing their Saturday night after show... I really have no idea what the situation is going to be in terms of admitance though. Don't know if you need a pass or if it's just first come first serve or what.

make sure its not a camping pass you're buying for $40
My group all wants to go to Bamboo Bar because of the gosh darn f'n airplane flyer. I told them I'm going to Spicy Cantina. I dont really care what you do. Jazmo is probably headed there. Anyone else?
