Holiday Inn Murfreesboro on Wednesday and Monday nights.
I got the rooms free cause of Reward Points. I knew all that dreaded labor would pay off with a perk sometime. Good news is there is supposed to be a hot tub in the room. The bad news is that it is a non-smoking room.
It would be cool to find some neighbors the night before the Roo, but our plans are to chill, rest up, get sleep, and head out early (8-ish). That begs the question, without changing the forum topic: Leaving Murfreesboro around then, plus bypassing the signs, pulling a u-turn on 24, and taking the dedicated temporary exit = good game plan?

Also, the veterans might be able to correct me, but pretty much any major corporate-type hotel (read: one you have heard of before) will probably have a few, if not mostly all, Roo folks. The ones closer to Manchester are probably more packed with Roo folk, the more corporate ones probably too. I looked into the Manchester Holiday Inn Express, they have two suites open at approx $125 + 17% Special Manchester Bonnaroo Tax. It looks like they might be letting their rooms trickle open slowly to get the best feel for the price.
God bless anybody at that Holiday Inn Express who are not going to Bonaroo? As paraphrased from HST in F&LinLV, "With a bit of luck, their lifes will be ruined forever. Always thinking that just inside the hotels in all of his favorite small towns, hippies in sandals are getting incredible kicks from music they'll never know.
I think we may stay at the Comfort Suites but not sure yet. I know it will book up quick but dun matter. We will find a spot. When we book the hotel, I'll let you know! Cheers! ;D

was gonna book days inn Monteagle on thurs, but had to put checks in the bank and by the time they processed on saturday it was booked. so we'll be staying in motel 6 murfreesboro
Yeah I can't wait til I get there. What time is everyone leaving Murfreesboro to head to Roo on Thursday? I hear such conflicting times, some go at the crack of dawn some around 8-9am in the morning. I actually don't think I'm going to worry about the time when I leave and get to the lineup.
What is the best route from Murfreesboro to take? We'll definitely have to hook up.
Can you believe it? I've never been to United States! I've got my passport stamped a few times when heading down south to the Dominican Rep. but never have I actually been to the States! You Americans can sure put on GREAT music Festivals!

we'll be leaving murfreesboro at the crack of dawn; this is our 1st 'roo so we dont wanna screw up and we'll prolly drive to 'roo on weds night just so we wont get lost. whats good to do at night in murfreesboro?
yea, about 7-8am for me. i think it's like 30-45 mins to roo from murfreesboro. but then add the wait in line and probably wont get in till 9 or ten. oh well, as long as i get in, thats all that matters!
doesn't seem like anyone is staying at the knights inn! i guess i can hotel hop to find all you cool peeps to party with!

We're staying at the Country Inn & Suites in Manchester on Tue. the 12th. We have to pick up our Rv on the 13th and we just want one last good nights sleep and one last shower!! ;D ;D
i stayed there last year and plan on staying there this year. it's not bad and decent price around $60 a night i think.

that's what we did last year. left the hotel at around 8, got some waffle house, headed into roo at about 8:30, waited in roo traffic for a little over an hour (i think.. it went by fast), we got screwed on our spot (camp clark griswald). so i wouldn't say it's necessarily better to get there early. i think this year i'll take my time getting there. there isn't really anything in murfreesboro, it's pretty small.

We are coming from the twin cities and staying at the Wingate Inn in Murfreesboro Wednesday. I want one good nights sleep before the festival. Going VIP this year, so I'm not too worried about when to get to Manchester. Would like to be set up by noon. Then walk around and meet as many people as I can. I will have a inforoo T-shirt on, so keep an eye open and feel free to say hi.
