Murfreesboro--Crestwood suites Wed nite and Hotel Preston Nashville Sunday night into Monday.
are you leaving on sunday to get a hotel room for that night? just wonderin' why you'd miss a night to go to a hotel.....
Yeah we'll leave Sunday after the Stripes (Im not really into Panic) drive the hour to Nashville and be at the hotel by 9. Shower and get some good sleep. We have a ten hour drive. I tried the last 2 years to stay the extra day at Roo and just drive home from there but it was miserable since I do all of the driving.

We are f'd on the Wed nite hotels. I looked at the Holiday Inn a while back but didn't book a room. I'm gonna call and see if they might be holding one or sumtin. Last year we stayed in Monteagle (went to church camp there for many a summer), but looks like nothing there either.
I'll figure something out, just don't want to be in hellish traffic trying to get to the secret VIP place.
I had to wait to book my free room and finally did that today! 30 days away! YIPPEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited!
We are all booked at the Sleep Inn on Chaffin Place in Murfreesboro on the Wednesday night. Now its my understanding that Murfreesboro is central time so we will be arriving aomewhere between 11 and 12 midnight.

Anyone from Murfreesboro can tell me if anything is around there like liquor store food etc? 24 hour stores?

If you arrive Wed afternoon, you will be turned away. The official opening time is Thur 9:00 AM. But, if you listen to 101.5 when you get into Manchester, Radio Bonnaroo will announce at some point Wed night when the gates are open. They always open the gates Wed night, but you dont know when.
Last year it was around 7:30 PM, and the folks arriving and coming in then, where camped in BFE.
Yeah I'm up for something on Wednesday night. Only one small problem, I'm travelling from Canada and have no idea what time I'll be arriving. I believe sometime before 12 but closer to 10 I would imagine!
P.S Troo- you are an absolute Godsend. Ok I know this will sound silly but where I'm from the only 24 hour store that is open is an overpriced Beckers and Macs.
Are your Walmarts and liquor stores open all night?
TN state law says no sales from 3am to 6am. County and cities can restrict that further. I'm pretty sure here in M'boro it's still 3am-6am (except on Sunday where it's 3am-noon). Most bars closed at 2am or earlier though.
Yeah I'm down for whatever! Could use a little unwinding after that drive for sure, not too long but a little party is what the doctor orders!
Thanks for the info on where we are. I can't believe the US! thats some crazy A$$ed Sh%@. We can only buy liquor and beer in a designated beer store, and designated liquor store. they are separate. They are mostly open here from 10am until 6pm at night and NO Sundays at all! This is Sweet! I can't wait to visit United States and it will be my first time travelling into the US, Never did a border crossing on land before, always going through the States via a plane to get to the Caribbean. I hear Border cops are sticky so we've taken all the great tips we've gotten here and elsewhere but I am nervous. No, we aren't carrying anything questionable across but I've heard they will turn you away just from looking like a hippy. I hope HOPE! they aren't that weirded out.

i vote bw3's. its big (at least where i live) and open, and shouldnt be too hard to find. right near the exit acording to troos map. they usually have good beer selection too! i don't know of anything else around there so thats another reason for my vote
soulmate - dont worry about the border cops. They are not that bad - I have done lots of drive through crossings and no problem. Yeah, you might get searched, but thats about it. Granted, I havent crossed since 9/11. One of my good friends is from Medicine Hat and never has a problem coming back and forth...
