Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Haven't seen this thread pop up yet so I thought I'd get the ball rollin'! Get help resolving conflicts from inforooers who have seen the artist perform or know what to expect from a band live!
1. Really depends what you are lookingfor. Jungle just looks like a fun high energy show with a great band. As far as Mac, ive tried, but i cant get into his sound and style. Jungle FTW.
2. Pallbearer vs. Brownout vs. Districts + a great spot for King Gizz
3. Royal Blood vs. Between the Buried and Me
Thanks in advance!
I feel the same as Mikearoo in regards to Mac Demarco - I don't care for him as much as I do Jungle. They'll probably both be great shows, but Jungle's live show has been getting excellent reviews lately and I loved their Coachella performance so I'm hoping for more of that at Roo. Consider this a second vote for Jungle. I'm really not too familiar with your #2 conflicts, but I've heard good things about the Districts. I don't care a whole lot for Royal Blood but their Coach performance was good if you like them (which apparently you do). Idk much about BtBaM.
I say Rudimental. Their live YouTube videos make it seem like their shows are a lot of fun, and in general I've found hip-hop shows to be very hit-or-miss, so I'd probably skip Freddie Gibbs and Madlib.

Rudimental for certain. We saw them at Coachella and it was easily top 3 set of the weekend. Raw!
Although…I'm kind of bummed about having to miss Belle.
Always.
I was looking forward to seeing Belle & Sebestian as ive never seen them before, but i cant miss MMJ!! (even though ill probably be seeing them twice more in July)

I would argue Atomic Bomb! simply for the fact that it will probably be a once in a lifetime thing, much like the superjams. I plan on catching at least the first half hour of MMJ but I expect I will get to see them again, probably even at Roo a couple years down the line

Yeah…I've got two shows lined up for the summer. One being Red Rocks.
I've never seen Belle before.
My sister did an amazing fuck up a bunch of years ago when they played in Toronto where she bought these super expensive tickets months in advance and then didn't check her email or the internet again. They switched the show to a few weeks earlier and a few days before the "scheduled" show she called the Box Office to see where her tickets were and the person was all "honey, it already happened."
I didn't have tickets to that show…but I felt her pain.

Love this thread and thanks in advanced for any help. Alright here we go!
1. Earth Wind & Fire vs. Run the Jewels - Seen RTJ before (Jack White MSG). If anyone has seen EW&F recently, do they still have it? 2. Robert Plant vs. Caribou - Same thing. How's Plants voice/band? Never seen either.
[Side note: Not even gonna bother posting Saturday evening bands because everything from 6:30 until Mumford is a conflict]
2021 08-07: Japanese Breakfast @ Union Transfer 09-08: My Morning Jacket / Brittany Howard @ The Mann 09-18: Soccer Mommy @ Union Transfer 10-01 thru 10-03: Austin City Limits Music Festival 10-19: Waxahatchee @ Union Transfer 10-27: Arlo Parks @ The Foundry 11-09: Squid @ Johnny Brenda's 11-17: Monophonics @ World Cafe Live 12-01: Caribou @ Union Transfer

Go to EWF....RTJ is just in the early Stars of their hype prime. So there's a good chance that'll happen again in countless venues. EWF might not. Not saying that they won't....but being around since 1969 is a long haul. Take it all in.
Please delete all other threads. I have an advanced degree in both Weaponry and Middle East Nonviolent Protest Conflict Resolution and was present for the last two Intifadas. Please get rid of all other CR threads and post your conflict here for opinions on what shitty show you should skip. Thanks.

MMJ vs Atomic Bomb Band hurts
ive seen MMJ one and a half times (second half of their set at Voodoo 2010, full set in a venue in 2011) but I love them and I've always wanted to see them at Bonnaroo. BUT, in imagining seeing them at Roo (ive only been to Roo last year and now this year), I imagined a marathon set like the 2008 set. 90 minutes seems kind of weak.
I've been digging the music of William Onyeabor a ton and set sounds fun. No one in the band particularly excites me though besides Luke Jenner and Pat Mahoney. I'm kind of sad Alexis Taylor and David Byrne aren't playing with them.
I think I may be leaning towards skipping MMJ and just doing all of Jamie XX then Atomic Bomb Band though. Jamie XX into Atomic Bomb Band seems like it'd just work too well. I'd have to skip the second half of the Jamie set to see MMJ
the new MMJ album may help in swaying me one way or the other. haven't listened to it yet

At first I thought it strange Slayer was playing before D'Angelo in This and not the other way around. But I realize they would make enough noise to drown out Bassnectar. Now I want to know what can be done about the conflicting sound bleed from the Which and Bassnectar at the start of D'Angelo's set in This Tent. I'm guessing he doesn't perform until that's over.
