Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Keep 'em coming. I will provide you with proper deconfliction advice before the end of the day, regardless of whether it's band, stage, tattoo, food/beverage/chemical ingestion, artistic endeavour or campmate. Unlike most touchy-feely resolution threads, this one will actually make you feel like a real human being for selecting one superior choice over another, shittier choice.
How do i choose between the conflict resolution thread polls?
Ignore the polls. This is not a democracy, it's a representative republic. Therefore you support the thread who has the most Koch Brothers money behind it like every other ignorant American and ignore the polls.
I know this is a no brainer, but never skip an MMJ set, right? Why do they need to be up against Jamie XX?
I don't know. They're one of my favorites but I can't imagine them blowing minds in an hour and a half. I'm kind of expecting a "just the hits" set to win people over. It'll be great but not legendary like past Bonnaroos. I'd love to be wrong. I'll be at MMJ lol.

I'm pained by Caribou vs. Robert Plant. What makes it especially cruel is that there is nobody I'm trying to see all day before then but I kind of saw it coming. At least I got War on Drugs unopposed on Saturday since that was another one I was afraid was going to show up on Sunday before the dailies were announced.

That's how everyday besides Thursday is for me. I'm going to be at a lot of shows early in the day that I didn't intend on seeing when the lineup came out. I expected this though.

Tough one. They both have suck potential and neither one has put out a record in a couple of years (that I know of). Moon Taxi has done a lot more festivals over the past three years and Dawes has appeared as themselves on underrated TV show Parenthood and have a Laurel Canyon sound that reminds one of Graham Nash solo shit or Joni Mitchell. Plus I find Taylor Goldsmith to be handsome. Therefore, Dawes.
Saw spoon in December and it was phenomenal. But I prefer the tents to the what. Haven't seen sturgill but I feel he's blowing up, and only has one album, so he will be every where in the next year

I'll tell you this, I've hard not so hot reviews of Robert Plant's voice (which should be expected at his age) but his backing band apparently is pretty dang good BUT I witnessed the kickassness of Caribou live in a small club back in November and it was absolutely amazing. You could get your groove on most of the time and then sometimes they'd delve into crazy, indulgent, psychedelic extensions on the songs and it was breathtaking. I can just about guarantee that Caribou will blow Plant's show away, the only reason plant could win out is simply because you'll get to see Zeppelin songs performed by Plant. So you just gotta choose whether you want to choose based on skill/overall quality or you want to choose it based on novelty
Jungle vs. Mac Demarco vs. Gramatik: I personally say cut out Jungle and between Mac & Gramatik I'm choosing Mac Demarco. One reason for that decision is the crowd that Mac Demarco is going to be a lot more up my alley than the kids at Gramatik. Plus, I'm a much bigger fan of the artists playing before Mac than I am of the artists on the other stages.
Freddie Gibbs & MADLIB vs. Rudimental: I don't really know Rudimental, I've watched a few sets from them but, living deep in the South, it's hard for me to see Freddie Gibbs & MADLIB (as it is most places as far as I know) so I'm easily choosing MADGIBBS in that slot.
MMJ vs. Atomic Bomb!: I've been waiting years to see MMJ on the farm but it looks like I'm gonna keep waiting for 3 reasons: (1) it is gonna be next to impossible to catch another Atomic Bomb! show elsewhere. (2) MMJ is playing a lot of shows all over the U.S. soon and probably will next year too. So it's likely you can see them play a show or two closer to home. (3) MMJ only has a 1.5 hour slot, which is not enough to do MMJ justice, especially if they're gonna play some New Basement Tapes stuff cause that would take away from their material in an already short set.

Your last sentence is correct. Tough one but Spoon
Uh oh, nerdbyrd's picture is back to a selfie. Must mean she's back on the prowl.
See.. What happened was...
I was logged into my mobile and my son played with my phone for awhile. Later when I got back on inforoo, my avatar was missing. Idk what he did to it. My rtj pic is on my work computer so I put up a temporary avatar until I can get to work and change it.
ive seen MMJ one and a half times (second half of their set at Voodoo 2010, full set in a venue in 2011) but I love them and I've always wanted to see them at Bonnaroo. BUT, in imagining seeing them at Roo (ive only been to Roo last year and now this year), I imagined a marathon set like the 2008 set. 90 minutes seems kind of weak.
I've been digging the music of William Onyeabor a ton and set sounds fun. No one in the band particularly excites me though besides Luke Jenner and Pat Mahoney. I'm kind of sad Alexis Taylor and David Byrne aren't playing with them.
I think I may be leaning towards skipping MMJ and just doing all of Jamie XX then Atomic Bomb Band though. Jamie XX into Atomic Bomb Band seems like it'd just work too well. I'd have to skip the second half of the Jamie set to see MMJ
the new MMJ album may help in swaying me one way or the other. haven't listened to it yet
Ya, pretty hurt by this conflict too. But I'm going with the same reasoning. I'd love to see MMJ at Bonnaroo (only seen them at Wakarusa before), but a 90 minute set from them doesn't really excite me. And I'll likely never get another chance to see Atomic Bomb. And the fact I'd have to skip Jamie xx too to see MMJ puts the nail in the coffin for me

Still torn over Demarco and Jungle. I probably enjoyed Demarco's album more last year, but watching the Jungle live show stream on Coachella really raised them up on my "to-see" list. I figure I can catch Gramatik after and hopefully he'll play past his set time.
I know more Rudimental songs, but really dug Pinata after checking it out. Also a fan a Madlib, gah.
I think I'll have to watch some Atomic Bomb stuff before really deciding. I know MMJ will bring it, but their punctuated set time really stinks.

Demarco vs Jungle is a tough one too. Only reason I know I'll be at Jungle is because Demarco is playing Levitation, so I'll catch him there.
Both of those shows should be great. Hoping Demarco plays past his set time, so I can still catch the end of it after Jungle.

The real question is
Deadmau5 vs. Run The Jewels?
I feel its pretty much entirely dependent on what Deadmau5's stage show looks like at Governor's Ball the week before. I really want to see Run The Jewels but 45 minutes is going to be over and done so quick. My thought right now is to split the sets. See the opening of Deadmau5, run to RTJ, watch the whole thing and then run back to see the Deadmau5 finale.
