I'm pained by Caribou vs. Robert Plant. What makes it especially cruel is that there is nobody I'm trying to see all day before then but I kind of saw it coming. At least I got War on Drugs unopposed on Saturday since that was another one I was afraid was going to show up on Sunday before the dailies were announced.
Every review I've seen for Caribou has been glowing. Not one person going "meh" or "it was ok" every single review was "run dont walk to see this"

This is true, don't miss Caribou. Easily one of the top 5 shows I saw last year. And it will be a perfect way to end Bonnaroo.

I really only have two huge conflicts but they are killing me:
EWF vs MSMW vs. RTJ: I have never seen any of them before but I am leaning towards RTJ since their set at Coachella was amazing and also having the possible chance that we might get to see both Zach De La Rocha or Travis Barker. What is making me hesitate is that their set is only 45 minutes and I would also like to boogie to some EWF and jam out to MSMW and their sets are a little bit longer. Don't really have an opinion on the second wave of late night acts that night.
MMJ vs. GCJ vs Atomic Bomb: It would be interesting to see Atomic Bomb but I have since become a huge fan of MMJ. I have always loved GCJ and have saw him twice last year and one of those shows was the best concert experience I have ever had. However, I have never seen MMJ before but I am seeing them in Detroit for the back to back shows on the Tuesday and Wednesday after Roo. I would say do something else since you are seeing them in Detroit but the idea alone of seeing MMJ at Bonnaroo is making me tempted to do the all day wait for them.

I flaked on seeing Caribou a couple years ago in a really small great venue back home in NC. Didn't really know much of him at the time. Now I kick myself for it.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I hate when I look back at some old 'roo schedules and see bands that I missed, simply because I didn't really know about them at the time. Hot Chip being the prime example. The last time they were at 'roo was '07, my first Bonnaroo.
2. Pallbearer vs. Brownout vs. Districts + a great spot for King Gizz
3. Royal Blood vs. Between the Buried and Me
Thanks in advance!
1. jungle. 2. king gizzard Pallbearer, then join the mad dash to King Gizz 3. royal blood
all good.
FYP.
No need to miss out on Pallbearer to get a good spot for King Gizz. I can't imagine that huge of a crowd there. And you can join in the fun dash of many Inforoosters going from Pallbearer to King Gizz!

Yeah, I can even look back at last year's and pick out a few that I missed and now really really wish I hadn't. Namely St. Paul & the Broken Bones, CHVRCHES (who I already knew and loved but somehow I allowed myself to just go with the flow of my friends and do Vampire Weekend instead - FOREVER A REGRET), and Darkside (though Kaskade was fun as shit, I have to admit).

That Darkside show...like, whoa. That will go down as one of the best shows I've ever seen.
Saw spoon in December and it was phenomenal. But I prefer the tents to the what. Haven't seen sturgill but I feel he's blowing up, and only has one album, so he will be every where in the next year
I have the same conflict and I also prefer tents to the What. Sturgill has two albums by the way and the reason I mention it is that his Coachella set had the sound and feel of his first album more than his second. First album is very good as well. It was more a bluegrass rock show than outlaw country. Dave Maynar saw Sturgill a few months back and I think he said that he felt Sturgill rushed the songs and I agree but not to a huge degree. Spoon is Spoon. I haven't looked at setlists for them recently so I don't know if this Roo show is in support of the last album or just a general tour but the discography is deep enough that it doesn't matter. This is a very close call for me and having seen both these bands in the last 8 months, I would recommend the artist whose discography you like more. Unless it is hot and then I'm sure I'll be at Sturgill because I hate the sun.
His Coachella set got generally better reviews than what I heard from his Knoxville show. I might have caught him on an off night. My coworker that moonlights doing security said he bailed to the bus right after the show, so he might have been feeling sick/exhausted/etc. Like Billy alludes to, stage v. tent settles many a conflict for me. I will always opt for the tent for daytime shows unless it's someone I really want to see on the stage.

As bad as Saturday before Mumbros is, Spoon/The Very Best/Sturgill on Sunday is the only thing bothering me today.
I may just see Sturgill at Willie's 4th of July Picnic in Austin, but that will be a very short set. Unfortunately, I didn't catch Spoon last year and I don't know how many opportunities I'll have in the near future. I'll likely never have another chance to see The Very Best.
1/30: Cold War Kids
2/6: Cherub
4/22: The Mountain Goats
5/25: Laura Jane Grace "Killing Me Loudly"
5/31: The Decemberists
6/11-6/14: BONNAROO 2015
6/28: Against Me!
6/30: Against Me!

I feel quite strongly that neither Zach or Travis will be there. I'm willing to make beer bets that neither of them show up. Bonnaroo guest appearance tend to be either artists on the bill or who live in the area.
agreed, coachella is much higher up on the guests they bring out, ya know like kanye west, la rocha, and barker

I have down I'm going to Spoon, but felt they were lackluster at ACL last year. The Very Best could sway me depending on my guys opinion.
The shade in the pit on the What makes Spoon pit my choice over Sturgill but its a 55/45 split right now.
See, I need this kind of pro-tip.. Thank you Inforoo for making me much more knowledgeable than I would otherwise be during my first expedition onto the farm.

Where do I go Friday late night at 12:30? Deadmau5 doesn't really do it for me. Really liked RTJ's set I saw streamed from Coachella. EWF will be a funky dance party. MSMW I love, plus I'll probably the only person there. Thoughts?

in december, they want my soul was the best represented album, but was still only about 1/3 of the setlist. they played 20 some odd songs and 5 or 6 were new, I think all the albums were represented except girls can tell. I really want to see them at roo because that show was great, they were firing on all cylinders. I expected a which stage show, not What, but eh. Afternoon What shows wipe me out, I think the sun/heat during arctic monkeys and cumulative exhaustion from the weekend made me a zombie for the rest of sunday last year, and I don't really want that to happen again this year.
I completely forgot about that first sturgill album, I've only given it one or two spins, I love metamodern sounds in country music. This will probably be a game time decision. Sturgill is also playing in the bluegrass situation tent, so he may be involved in the superjam too? It won't be the same as a solo show but could suffice if I decide to spoon it up. He played here twice in the last year, once I was out of town and the other he opened for ZBB, which I wasn't gonna shell out $60 to see, so I'd love to catch at least a little. this really is my hardest decision on the lineup.
I really enjoyed Jamie xx's set at Big Ears. I haven't seen GCJ, but I have heard good things about his show. It may be one where they are different enough music that you pick that day based on more of what you want to hear right then.
