If they release the late night shows at around the time they announce the schedule it might be a good thing, except for the waiting another month part. Sunday is going to be full of conflicts for me so if Frightened Rabbit and EiTS are both playing late night shows then I'll definitely go to one but I'd want to wait until the schedule is released to decide and won't have to worry about tickets selling out.
I'm wondering where EITS would play since Frightened Rabbit is at Terminal West? Maybe Center Stage or they're using the Tabernacle?
They probably couldn't have late night shows at the Tabernacle since it's run by live nation. Sucks because it's so close to Centennial.

Goddamn that's some corporate bullshit, I always wondered why they didn't have late night shows at the Tabby. And you're right, it's in the perfect location in relation to where the main festival is now.

Oh man, after shows at The Tabernacle would be perfect. Even if they don't work together Live Nation should still book a show there. It would sell out.

Looks like the lead singer of The Head and the Heart will be out for Shaky Knees. Wish him the best of course, but a little disappointing not to have the full band.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
The Dear Hunter is playing at the Masquerade during Shaky Knees. It doesn't say it's a late night show.
I'm rather quite upset that The Deer Hunter's opener Rare Futures (formerly Happy Body Slow Brain) is not playin' Shaky Knees. I get it overall, they are an extremely low-profile band whose new (and new name debut) album has yet to be released. But dammit I've wanted to catch this band live fer some six years at least!

Seems kinda like a fuck you to the rest of the band, peacing out just days before the tour kicks off. Hmm...
I believe that he was never invited to do it. When they were first announced for rock on the range, Jim was asked about it and he said he knew nothing about it. I'm bummed about it because I've never seen them before and I'm finally going to and Jim isn't even a part of it.

Agreed on the whole announcement being odd considering that interview. Here's a link for anyone who wanted to read it.
Can't wait to watch The Mars Volta cover At the Drive-In songs
My heart yearns for more Volta. Maybe with the ATDI reunion falling apart, they'll get TMV crew back together.
But it just won't be the same without Ikey. Ikey would let it all go when he played, loved watching his facial expressions as shit got real weird on stage.
I guess somebody had to lol ( I know several people that did as well )
I actually found out about Mars Volta before ATDI (had only seen their name never heard them), so Sparta really did nothing for me. I did see them with like 30-50 ppl at a city fest in 2007 or 2008, they were okay.

I think I knew about Sparta before TMV. Pretty sure they came out first after ATDI broke up. I was always a fan. TMV was better but I never felt like it was a competition. It always seemed like everyone thought they had to choose sides and everyone that liked TMV hated Sparta.

Yeah, that was something I noticed as well. Personally, I really enjoyed all three outfits. Oh well, I'm just excited to see them in May.
I never felt it was a competition, just a personal preference. TMV is an all time fav band. Saw them 6x all together.......the first time in NOLA during JF on the Frances tour was life changing.

Yeah, TMV was always my preferred form. I only saw them three times, but the first time at the Tabernacle in like 09 was my favorite.

I saw TMV 4 times, Sparta 3 times and Shaky Knees will be my first time seeing ATDI.
