Wow At the Drive In and Florence conflict....didn't see that coming. Obvious choice for me is At the Drive In but damn that's brutal. Sooo I got Foxing > Against Me! > Bloc Party > Slowdive > Jane's Addiction
Wild Nothing > The Vaccines > My Morning Jacket
The Orwells > Diet Cig > Deftones > At the Drive In
I'm gonna need some music recommendations....

No, but you can hear P'tree in the background when you're at Ponce...but not an issue when the bands are playing.
I'm not worried about bleed since theyre staggered. I just was wondering if I was up close on the maainstage if i could enjoy the ponce de leon acts inbetween
Definitely not. Ponce is up a hill from Peachtree. You'll be able to hear but not see.
Speaking of which, if there's a band you want to see on Peachtree give yourself time to get over there. I'm 5'8" and have had a hard time seeing the stage at other concerts in Centennial.
The main lawn is shaped like a terrace (think terrace farming not like a deck). If you're down in front you can see fine and if you're way in the back you can see. The middle can be dangerous for the vertically challenged.

I have a lot of research to do but my worst conflicts so far are: Slowdive/The Kills Huey Lewis and the News/Silversun Pickups (I plan to see SSP at Hangout so that's an easy one) Parquet Courts/Diet Cig The Head and the Heart/Deftones
anyone know how they handle that big fountain thing that will be right in front of the Piedmont Stage? That whole area doesn't look that big to me.
I don't recall one there? It's just a courtyard between the stadiums....the big fountain is on the back side of the buford stage.
I looked at google earth of the place where the Boulevard and Piedmont stages are going to be....that looks like a fountain or some sort of water thing to me (labelled Georgia International Plaza)....maybe I am wrong, I've never been there (sober at least)
I would post a pic of it but I am not that Inforoo savy.
Everyone considering a pass on Slowdive's set needs to reconsider their decision ASAP. Can guarantee it'll be one of the top three sets of the weekend, hands down
Not overly happy with this schedule because of the number of conflicts/open time slots (based on my personal tastes) but c'est la vie.
Friday: Beach Slang (or David Ramirez) > Foxing (or Saintseneca) > Craig Finn (or Kaleo) > ML Vazquez (or Brian Fallon or Front Bottoms) > Wolf Alice > OPEN > OPEN (probably check out Cold War Kids) > Savages > Bloc Party > Slowdive (or The Kills, fortunately I've seen ATW before) > OPEN (either rest up for a late night or go to Jane's)
Saturday: Strand of Oaks > Hop Along (or Drew Holcomb) > Day Wave > Shakey Graves > Deer Tick > Wild Nothing (or Twin Limb) > Silversun Pickups > Foals > MMJ (super pissed they're overlapping Foals and MMJ but Foals is one of my all-time favorite bands so I'm sticking them out to the finish; also really wanted to see The Decemberists but no room in the day)
Sunday: Caveman > Ought > Murder By Death > Frightened Rabbit > UMO (or Parquet Courts) > EODM > The Black Angels (or Nothing -- this is the worst conflict for me) > Young the Giant > Florence
Since Roo sucks this year I'm trying to talk the hubby into taking me to SK for my birthday (which is Saturday), and just doing day tickets for Saturday & Sunday. But hotels nearby are omfg expensive. Anyone have ideas for more reasonably priced accommodations?

There is a marta station literally under the fest site, so look along the marta line maybe east towards Decatur, or north towards Dunwoody/sandy springs area

That does look like a pretty big fountain... Will be interesting to see how they work around it/try to cover it somehow, or if they just let it be.

Airbnbs in Decatur area or along Dekalb Avenue are like $50 a night and all will be convenient to Marta. It's a nice area too; fun bars, good restaurants, etc.

I have several artists to check out, but as it stands now...
Friday: Beach Slang > Japanese House > ?? > Matthew Logan Vasquez > Wolf Alice > The Sword > Cold War Kids > Savages > Bloc Party (or Ghost if I don't go to the Knoxville show) > Slowdive/The Kills (fuck you, Shaky Knees) > Jane's Addiction
Saturday: ?? > Strand of Oaks > Hop Along > ?? > Noah Gunderson > Shakey Graves > Wild Nothing > The Vaccines > The Decemberists > MMJ
Sunday: Julien Baker > Ought > Murder By Death > Frightened Rabbit/The Orwells > UMO/Diet Cig > Eagles of Death Metal > Black Angels/Nothing (double fuck you, Shaky Knees) > Deftones > EitS > ATDI (though it hurts me to not see Florence)
NOTHING V. THE BLACK ANGELS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Shit I forgot about Nothing.... So I guess Houndmouth is not going to happen (seen them twice) and I need to choose between these two.... I think I may have to choose Black Angels

Yeah. Houndmouth puts on a great show, but I've seen them more recently. It'll take me a minute to decide where I'm going at that time slot.
Here's what I'm plotting, with the most likely conflict outcomes. I rolled solo last year and loved it. This year, my better half is coming with, which means I'll need to go to the things she knows and likes. This means that unless I can sell her on MMJ and ATDI in the next six weeks, I'll likely miss them both for acts I've seen before.
F: Beach Slang->?-> Kaleo-> Brian Fallon-> Wolf Alice-> July Talk-> Against Me! (look for me quacking shiz up)-> Struts-> Ghost-> Kills-> Jane's Sat: Son Little-> Strand of Oaks-> Hip Abduction-> ??-> Shakey/Dear Hunter-> Wild Nothing/ Twin Limb-> Vaccines-> SSPU-> Foals-> WTM, I fear Sun: Caveman-> Ought->Atlas Genius-> Orwells-> Parquet Courts-> Eagles-> Black Angels-> Head & the Heart-> Young the Giant-> Florence
I got the early bird VIP, and have never done that for a fest before. Free beers for everyone!
