How late does the marta train run? Will I die going to The Loft from the train station late at night?
Last northbound train out of the Arts Center station leaves at 1:45a. I'd probably plan on catching an Uber. The Loft is in Midtown so you'll be fine. It's actually directly across 75/85 from Atlantic Station, former home of Shaky Knees if that helps you get your bearings.

Being a SK 2015 attendee from out of town, I have to give mad props to Terminal West. The venue is the perfect size, has great sound, and has a baller kitchen/dining area. Had the dopest turkey sandwich at both the Ride and Spiritualized late shows last year

I'd actually be going back south to the cnn center. Don't know if that changes anything. Honestly, I'm also flexible on staying for Baroness.
I figured you'd head south but I couldn't find a southbound rail schedule for some reason. Oh well. The CNN Center is basically a straight shot down Peachtree from The Loft so an uber will probably be way quicker even if you leave early enough for the train.
So which of all these late night venues is the dopest you local folks?
Terminal West is my favorite venue in town but it's the farthest from the fest area and the most isolated. The Earl is pretty great and is in East Atlanta Village which has lots of good bars.

These late night shows cleared up some conflicts for me. Frightened Rabbits will be visiting Connecticut the week before, so I can still get in The Orwells set and EITS are really better suited for a more intimate venue, so I can skip out a little early to get a good spot for Florence.
I can't remember, do the late nights sell out? Would love to do one or two but can't swing tickets right now...
Which ones are you wanting to do? EITS and Foals will probably sell out.
Do you mean they'll sell out like I need to be sitting at my computer as soon as they go on sale or more along the lines of don't expect to walk up to the venue that night and get a ticket? Also, what were ticket prices for these in the past? $30-ish?

They won't sell out immediately but I imagine Foals will go pretty fast. The prices will be between $20-$30.

I am partial to Terminal West as it is fairly close to the Park the fest is in this year, plus the late night food options on the West Side are too much to pass up after a long day and night.
All the venues are in generally safe areas if you are careful, Five Points can be dicey, that is the station where the north/south and east/west lines meet.

Terminal West and Center Stage/The Loft/Vinyl and the Masquerade are about 2 miles from the fest, The Earl is 4.5 Miles in a cool neighborhood and Variety is about 3.5 miles in another cool neighborhood.
Center stage is relatively close to somethings but not a fun walk to anything close. Terminal West is not walking distance to anything but like i said the restaurants and drinks on that side of town(within a mile) are top notch and open late
Masquerade is a cool venue but is slightly isolated as well.

Late Night Prices for those wanting to get a jump on budgeting. Looks like Foals and Silversun Pickups is the pricey ticket this year. The Masquerade shows didn't list a day of show price.
Yea, hard pass on a $40 late night show. I think I'll use these late nights to soothe the burn from the UMO/Parquet Courts/Diet Cig conflict.
EITS late night sounds rad but they don't conflict with anyone I want to see at the fest, nor do I want to see anyone before them. I'll just plant front and center there and get my money's worth. Plus EITS sunset set into Florence closer sounds pretty freaking awesome.
You know, you headline Glastonbury ONE TIME and suddenly you think you can charge whatever you want for shows. I see how it is, Foals.
$40 is a little steep but I don't think it's too unreasonable considering SSPU is opening. Compare SSPU to all the other openers for the late nights out there.

Agreed.
I might however go for Phosphorescent LN because I really want to see Wild Nothing which conflicts with them on Saturday.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
