1. Atomic Bomb - dance party, happiest I was all weekend. Sure the crowd was small but the band didn't give a shit, they all seemed to be enjoying themselves so much, it was infectious. 2. Jamie XX - biggest surprise, I do like his studio record but was worried it might translate into bleep bloop sleepy time live. Turned out to be a fun party with a great crowd. 3. Run The Jewels - first time seeing them, love the records, love the show. 4. Slayer - fourth time seeing Slayer, just especially cool seeing them with a Bonnaroo crowd. 5. Bassnectar - apologies to all, my first full Bassnectar set and I really enjoyed it. VIP Which Pit helped with this tremendously.

1. MMJ 2. Superjam 3. Medeski, Scofield Martin and Wood 4. Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn 5. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard 6. The Districts 7. Rhiannon Giddens 8. Robert Plant 9. Spoon 10. Strand Of Oaks
HM: Courney Barnett, Jungle, Ben Harper, Alabama Shakes, Reggie Watts
Partial sets I loved/ Would be on here if I saw full set: War on Drugs, Tycho, Earth Wind and Fire
Would've loved to have seen Atomic Bomb and D'Angelo but I missed them for my top 2 sets of the fest for me, so I'm cool with it.
1. Twenty One Pilots 2. My Morning Jacket 3. Slayer (except for the part where I got injured and ran scared out of the tent) 4. Between the Buried and Me (on the rail) 5. Unlocking the Truth 6. Robert Plant 7. Houndmouth 8. Tears for Fears 9. Pallbearer (on the rail) 10. Ryn Weaver
I was upset to miss Temples, EWF, Hozier, Mumford, and Bassnectar (geez, that's a lot!), but shiz happens. And I did not see enough of Hurray for the Riff Raff to know whether I would have enjoyed it. :-( :-(

1) ETW- I went into fri LN with an open mind not expecting to see anyone in particular. My friends wanted to see that show and so I went along and had so much fun. The surprise performances at the end were just icing on the cake
2) MMJ - MMJ at Bonnaroo. Enough said.
3-10 Bassnectar, Kendrick, Superjam, Robert Plant, Dopapod, STS9, SOJA, Alabama Shakes ... in that order. All were excellent. I really only wanted to post in this thread to emphasize how great Earth Wind and Fire was.

1. Caribou - was shocked by how much fun this was live, have always enjoyed the records but didn't know how it would escalate in person 2. MMJ - still my favorite band, but I think I've been spoiled by OBH and seeing them surrounded by big groups of fellow superfans in the past. Their set killed it per usual, but I still wished for a few songs I didn't get (typical MMJ fan) and the crowd around me - at the rail - was not very focused by the second half. I have no complaints about the crowds the rest of the weekend, but I was very annoyed that people at the rail weren't into it and dancing along with me. Maybe they were there waiting on Mumford, but how do you not get into Carl B on the sax? I don't get it. 3. Sylvan Esso - the dance party I wanted, they fucking nailed it 4. Punch Brothers Secret Set at the Grind 5. Jamie XX - between Jamie XX and Caribou, I'm loving the bleep bloop more than ever before 6. Bear's Den's Secret Set at the Grind (was not going to post these because I want to always have this amazing experience, but Bonnaroo will probably move the Teva set again and screw it up and I think a previous, kinder poster than me let the cat out of the bag already anyway. So there you have it - these sets were super intimate, tiny, and raw). 7. Glass Animals - way less smooth electronic and way more rocky and jammy than I ever would have expected, loved it 8. New Brass Band Opening Day Parade - blast 9. Tove Lo - weaving through that crowd sure sucked, one of the worst Thursday night tent crowds of my Roo career but was worth it when we got close enough to hear/see the flashing 10. Jungle - left early to see a few Mac DeMarco songs, but had a great spot left over from moving up after Tove Lo and really enjoyed the first half of the set - less of a dance party than I would have hoped for, but it's tough for all of us by this point Thursday night.

My favorite night at roo: Friday
My favorite roo find: Hiss Golden Messenger. Walked into this show knowing absolutely nothing about them. Walked away a fan!
1.) My Morning Jacket (pit) - was second row right in front a jim. Watched the show with a few superfans that waited in the pit line with me and my friend. Had a huge group mmj hug with everyone right after the show. Everything about this show was amazing! The epitome of bonnaroo.
2.) STS9 - Really my first time seeing them (the actual first time was when they opened for umph, but it was still daylight out and they only played for about an hour). Had a blast! They were so good, everything I expected. Can't wait to catch them again.
3.) Bluegrass Superjam - I almost missed this show for Robert plant. I was actually sitting waiting for Robert plant but last second changed my mind and walked over. So glad I did. Loved all the covers they did. Plus, Rhiannon Giddeons stole my heart at this show. Talk about talent, my goodness. My first time going and I don't think I could ever miss it again. Hopefully they bring back again.
4.) Deadmau5 - first time seeing him. It was great. Loved every second of it.
5.) Shakey Graves - if you were at this show you know why it's so high on my list. Almost put this one above mau5.
6.) Ben Folds & YMusic - This was probably the best crowd I was apart of all weekend. Such an attentive crowd. Loved everything about this show.
7.) Jungle - loved this show. Band really seemed to be having a great time. Only wish they had more material so they could have played longer.
8.) Moon Taxi (pit) - seen them a few times but never in a festival setting and it was great. Loved the set list and the new song they played.
9.)Spoon (pit) - first time seeing them, but hopefully not the last. Really can't wait to see them in a non festival setting.
10.) Dopapod - this would have been higher on the list if they had more than 45 mins. Loved every second. Wish they would have closed a tent so they could have played longer.
Partial sets that would have been in the top ten if I could have seen the whole show - MSMW, Twiddle & Childish Gambino Caught about 20 mins of each and they were all really good, but Twiddle & MSMW stand well above Childish.
Disappointing sets - only one, Ben Harper. Just couldn't get into it. I wanted to love it, but it was just very bland.
Overall one of my favorite bonnaroos ever! This was my fifth year in a row and I think Friday may have been my second favorite night at roo only behind Friday 2012 (radiohead into umph sunrise was insane & also my first umph show!).
Recognizing that there were some great shows out there that I missed for a variety of reasons (exhaustion, musical taste, etc.), here we go:
Top Five
1. Caribou - Not much can bring me back to life by Sunday evening. Caribou did. An incredibly energetic and uplifting sunset set. Among the best I've seen at Roo. 2. Tears for Fears - Nostalgia act for me. Could not believe how much (and how little) they'd aged -- or that I'd have a chance to see them in concert. Thankfully, they were great live.
3. Sylvan Esso - They're everywhere on the festival circuit, but seemed really overjoyed to be at Roo.
4. Jamie xx - My most anticipated act of the weekend. Definitely delivered, and more.
5. My Morning Jacket - Solid as usual.
Next Five
6. Madisen Ward and Mama Bear - Hard to not love a son and his mom jamming out. Nice rapport with the crowd too.
7. Jungle - Very tight band. Brought a lot of energy to an exhausted Thursday late night audience. Only left early to get off my feet and catch the last few Mac DeMarco songs before camp.
8. Punch Brothers (Grind set) - I've seen them twice before, but there was nothing quite like being surprised at their appearance, watching them perform, and observing their virtuosity that close. As others have said, the improved promotion of Grind sets in the campgrounds (and having the times actually advertised) was a nice perk throughout the weekend.
9. Bear's Den (Grind set) - Similar to the above, first show of the weekend, and these guys (who I hadn't heard of or listened to before) sounded amazing in an intimate setting.
10. Unknown Mortal Orchestra - They sounded fairly different live compared to their albums, which made for a great experience.

This is my 2015 Bonnaroo experience:
1.) My Morning Jacket (opening drums on "Dondante" was the greatest moment of the weekend. Also, I spent 6 months learning every song on their discography, and it paid off in flying colors) 2.) Kendrick Lamar (Not much needs to be said here, he ripped it). 3.) Tears For Fears ("Shout" made me feel like we had a headliner there for a second). 4.) Courtney Barnett (she smiled at me when I started a slow clap, I love her. This could possibly be at number 3, or even 2). 5.) Jungle (Was pretty drunk, but god damn I knew every song and it was fantastic). 6.) Atmosphere (I also learned the entire discography for this one, and his set list was fuckin great. Would be higher if I could've squeezed in 2 or 3 more of his older songs). 7.) Spoon (Had all my friends with me, and we were safe guarded by the shade that the What Stage pit has to offer. They also just killed it). 8.) Billy Joel (Not a huge fan, but it was the last show of the weekend and nothing was going to stop me from dancing like a jackass). 9.) Caribou (I Can't Do With Out Caribou). 10.) Royal Blood (Knew every song, got in the pit and moshed regardless of how pathetically hot it was at that point in the day). 11.) Slayer (I moshed at Slayer). 12.) Super Jam! (Me and Zach G. are friends now). 13.) Jamie XX (This would probably be higher if I wasn't concerned with what time I should bail and make a run for the My Morning Jacket pit line the entire time). 14.) Temples (Shelter Song. Yes.) 15.) Jessica Hernandez and the Deltas (She is hot. She is nice. She sings well). 16.) King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard (He started sucking on the microphone. Also "Cellophane"). 17.) All Them Witches (So fucking tired, but I found the energy to rock out to "When God Comes Back" during my first show at The Who Stage). 18.) Earth Wind and Fire (I was just too far back and too tired to really enjoy these guys. Kendrick and Chance's lunchroom freestyling was awesome). 19.) Moon Taxi (I wanted "Whiskey Sunsets". I didn't get it. They still sounded great though). 20.) STS9 (I know nothing about them but I was laying down outside the tent that they were playing at and they sounded awesome). 21.) Woods (They killed it, and they played "Shelter Song", which is my fav. It was just too early in the day, and I was soberly there by myself in an adult diaper. Otherwise they'd be higher up. 22.) Growlers (Meh). 23.) Unlocking the Truth (The gimmick was awesome). 24.) Strand of Oaks (Would've still been fun if I weren't gearing up for so many other acts that I like better).
Didn't see enough to judge:
1.) Sylvan Esso (Was debating if I should miss some of Atmosphere for her. I choose Atmosphere, but by the luck of the draw I was walking by when Coffee was playing. That and Wolf sounded delectable). 2.) Robert Plant (Heard "Black Dog", gunned it to Caribou, heard the end of "Whole Lotta Love" and all of "Rock and Roll". Sounded great, but Caribou was still worth it). 3.) Flying Lotus (I was pretty much a zombie at this point, but I'm glad I'm able to say I saw part of Flying Lotus). 4.) Rudimental (My brother told me I would recognize one song. He was correct). 5.) War on Drugs (I like this band, but after two songs I realized I'd have more fun at Jamie XX with my brother than I would at WOD by myself). 6.) 21 Pilots (I slept in the shade during this, but it was in earshot so it counts. This marks my 3rd time "seeing" 21 Pilots).
