With the news that Panorama is no longer happening, I'm guessing our lineup is gonna look like this:
Mumford & Sons - LCD Soundsystem - Calvin Harris - Bon Iver The National - Alabama Shakes - Disclosure - Blink 182 - Passion Pit D'Angelo & The Vanguard - M83 - Bloc Party - ASAP Rocky - Of Monsters & Men Cage the Elephant - CHVRCHES - Big Grams - Elle King - Pusha T - Miiike Snow Father John Misty - Catfish & The Bottlemen - Mac Miller - Raury Against Me! - The Front Bottoms - Sky Ferreira - Alessia Cara - Hop Along - Lolawolf

Sorry, I'm really bored at work.
I feel like we're gonna have a much better set of headliners than that, at least I hope so. I feel like Mumford & Sons don't really fit the type of act that Governors Ball has been booking for the past few years. With the top act for the last three years being Kanye West, Outkast, and Drake, Mumford & Sons would be a pretty big switch. Some of this stuff just seems so radio friendly to me too , I've always looked at Governors Ball as the festival that doesn't play it too safe and gets the really talented, but not always popular acts. There's also so much overlap with Firefly. It's possible though. I'd definitely be excited about Bon Iver.
Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I imagine The National and LCD would both headline.
I was guessing Pearl Jam as our big headliner, but then I started hearing rumors of them doing 2 nights at MSG in May. That would certainly cross them out.

Still think there's a hip hop act in the top 4. Outside of Kendrick, who is even possible? Kanye again? Eminem(ugh)? ATCQ reunion (even in NYC) is nowhere near the draw that Outkast has/had.
Could GovBall get a Dr Dre & friends/NWA set? A Diddy & friends set could be really interesting/fun, but I don't think that gets billed that high and would be more of a Summer Jam headliner move.
Could perhaps go R&B heavy instead I suppose. Not interested in the Weeknd, but if they had say, Frank Ocean, D'Angelo, A$AP Rocky and a Missy Elliott/Timbaland collab? I'd be happy with that
Also, I'd bet that Mac Miller is the most likely to be the act that you're scratching your head wondering why they're billed so high when the poster comes out. I could see him being somewhere in that 10-12 range.

D'Angelo has already been confirmed, no way would he be Top 4 though. I think ASAP is highly likely to play, but again, definitely not top line. And I dont think ATCQ would be big enough for a top line spot. Definitely Top 10 though.
I think when it comes to hip hop this year the only possibilities would be Kendrick, J Cole, Beyonce or Kanye (but I dont see him coming back so soon). Eminem would be a possibility but I think there's some bad blood between him and Founders after he bailed on Govball 2014 last minute, and then Founders responded by blowing up the Eminem/Rihanna tour announcement months in advance.

It was brought up on this thread a few pages back. It wasn't an official confirmation, but it was something like based on the names revealed on the crossword that left only "D'Angelo and the Vanguard" as the only artist who's name fit on a certain line.

At this point Justice has one more upcoming show than D'Angelo (who has zero), but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was Carly Rae Jepsen or Robyn.

Carly Rae Jepsen did a show at Irving Plaza in November and has another one coming up at Terminal 5 in March (i know, the number of NY shows doesn't always matter, etc. etc.), and Robyn cancelled her two La Bagatelle Magique shows because they made her uncomfortable. Both of those were more wishful thinking on my part (though I picked CRJ just before she announced her tour).
