Wait, people are complaining about this?? Im so friggin stoked! I wasn't able to see The Strokes in 2014, so them alone has me pumped. Kanye is always a good show, and looking at recent Killers set lists I see they play heavy on their first 2 albums, which I thought were great. And of course Beck : )
Surprised I didn't see Sia on that post, but we'll see for sure in a few hours.
i would't say complaining, but it just felt like the potential was a lot higher this year and its just a very safe lineup, which I can't really blame them for considering they did at least try and get Arcade Fire.

As others have said, the disappointment is understandable based solely on the facts that three of the top four names are repeats for a relatively young festival. And I've seen those three in the last two years but I'm still pumped.
Kanye will be great, especially without the animosity present during his Roo set, which is the only time I've seen him The Killers I've never seen and will have a great time singing along to the hits and such The Strokes were great at Landmark, and I'm excited to see them in their hometown (not that they really give a shit) Beck is just fantastic and a back to back night of him and The Strokes would be almost as good as The Strokes > Jack White which I wasn't there for
add a great 5-10 and they'll have no problem selling to me

Looking at Coachella, Firefly and Hangout's headliners, I personally think we got the best package. Hangout and Firefly have a really boring top 3 except for Florence, who we already had last year. As for Coachella, Im not an LCD fan (I know, I know) and Calvin isn't my cup of tea either. The GNR reunion would be really cool to see just to say I saw it, but otherwise they aren't a band I really listen to.
Would have really been the most buzzed lineup if they were able to snag Arcade Fire and Sigur Ros, but I'm still happy with it. And M83, Haim and Bloc Party? I'll see you guys at Randalls.

For what its worth, I've seen Kanye three times and I've found his performance to be highly variable. Couldn't stand him at 12.12.12 (albeit out of place), decent yeezus show, but Gov Ball was the best set I've seen from him performance wise (he also brought a custom setup)

Coachella is still the best, no question. Two killer reunions over two repeats (no matter how good they are). The Killers are better than Calvin, but I think the two reunions still put it over.

For reference:
Coachella: LCD | GNR | Calvin Harris
Hangout: The Weekend | Calvin Harris | Florence
Firefly: Mumford & Sons | Kings of Leon | Florence| deadmau5
Gov Ball: Kanye | Strokes | Killers | Beck
Gov Ball headliners are certainly better than Hangout/Firefly for me. As far as Coachella, Calvin Harris feels like a throwaway, I honestly enjoyed the GNR gov ball show despite the lineup, and LCD I'm not a huge LCD fan either (don't hate me for it). All things considered, I think I'd come to the same conclusion: Gov ball has the greatest set of headliners (for me). That being said, I think Coachella killed it below there - can't say I expect the same for Gov Ball.
Also I hope this means The Strokes get a main stage closing slot this time around.
I'd be very shocked if this wasn't the case. I think they only accepted the time slot last time because it was a very very last minute thing (day before lineup announcement I believe)

I would honestly be shocked if they didn't get a closing slot. Does anyone remember the crowd they pulled last time?
It was huge and totally rammed down the front. Tons of kids getting smashed and thrown over the barrier. It was definitely wilder than the Outkast crowd.

I was in the back, totally enjoying myself, but man that crowd was insane. So lively, though. Can't wait to (probably) return!

They were amazing. Huge crowd; I was midway up, left of the tower in the middle of the crowd, and I was actually pretty pissed for a decent portion of the show because I was completely surrounded by douchey boys and girls talking and yelling over them and purposely bumping into my SO and I. When I saw them in 2011 though, damn. Fucking awesome. I honestly had more fun at the Julian Casablancas/Voidz show. And he played Instant Crush soo..

It was packed indeed. I was in the back on that hill just enjoying the set. One of my most memorable festival experiences.
My feelings on the leaked headliners sure have fluctuated over the past two hours.
Kanye West - The Killers - Beck - The Strokes
No flunctuating.
I've got pros and cons for each, kinda.
Kanye I've seen so many times... But, he's so good I can't help but wanna see him again. Killers I can't say I'm too familiar with their work... But you bet your ass I'd be in that crowd screaming "Somebody Told Me" at the top of my lungs. Strokes were awesome last time, but to be back so soon is kinda weird... But, they were SO AWESOME last time, I'd have to see them again. Beck? Never saw, totally excited for Beck.
