But I don't think the Lumineers will; it just wouldn't make sense for a small festival that can't give them a payday to offset the expenses.
Ha. It's not the one hop. It's the back and forth and back again. Doesn't seem economical as they would end up back in Europe. Like someone said, it's possible (even more I guess since it's a festival and not a tour) but it's just seems like a lot of traveling.

In today's edition of "this sounds like a Newport act"... Was listening to the Shaky Knees playlist on Spotify, and David Ramirez sounds like a decent act for Newport.
Still hoping for Seryn, but not holding my breath there.

Saw him opening for Shakey Graves last year. He was pretty dang good!

Any guesses on tomorrow's announcement? I think it could be Matthew Vasquez, given his history with the fest. Suprised he isn't on the advisory board yet. Would also love some middle brother! Missed them in 2012 cause I didn't know what it was and am still a little upset about it

Dead and Company just announced tour and they play Fenway Park the weekend before Newport. At least puts them in the area
I was thinking that pretty much rules them out, but I hope I'm wrong cause I couldn't think of many others I'd rather see headline. Plus I could kill two birds with one stone and not have to shell out fenway prices.
You know I have nothing against classic rock, folk, whatever but, I love the fresh new faces and talents the best! It amuses me that I'm probably older than most of you guys and I'm more excited about Raury than I would be about other old guys playing!

I like to remain hopeful lol. There is no way I'm going to Fenway, where you can't see anything and pay outrageous prices. I'd go to SPAC first
