They should book The Felice Brothers again but have them do their "Nun Neil Young" show where they dress like nuns and play all Neil covers. Just to change it up (since their last few sets were very similar).
Does anyone have an idea as to when they'll start gradually rolling out this year's lineup? I have a feeling it'll happen either next week or the week after, but I'm not 100% sure.
I would love to see Newport get any of the following artists for this year (some are repeats from last year I believe):
Gary Clark Jr. Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats Leon Bridges Dave Rawlings Machine Son Little Father John Misty

Nathaniel Rateliff is already confirmed I wouldn't be surprised to see them move Leon to the main stage The rest of those would be great, although I'm a little over Gary Clark Jr.

Where was Rateliff confirmed?
Alabama Shakes headlining would be perfect in my book.

mrpotatotrooper confirmed it a couple pages back after talking with one of them after a show
Jazz Fest is supposedly getting Neil Young, Paul Simon, and Van Morrison. Can we get one please? Can Roger Waters talk sense into one of them and get them to agree to play?

The world lost a great, innovative musician today. I had the privilege of seeing David Bowie in, I think it was, 2001. I splurged and bought front row seats from a broker and it was the best money spent. He had the moves and the energy of a person in their 20's. He always pushed himself to explore different sounds and will forever be an influence to many. Rest in peace Mr. Bowie.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Ray Lamontagne's website is updated-- a home page that has 'Ouroboros" on it. New album?!
Sounds and looks like it! Always love a chance to catch ole Ray. Didn't love his last album, but his show brought the songs to life. And the fact that Belle Brigade and Jason Isbell opened made for a pretty dang good night

Van Morrison please. If only because I've seen Neil and Paul before.

And apparently Jim james is involved, maybe produced it
Very interesting. I wasn't the biggest fan of the album produced by Dan Auerbach. Didn't hate it and liked that Ray was doing something different but I am dying to hear this if what you say is true.
