DMB just announced their schedule for their 25th anniversary tour. Closest place to Chicago is Moline in June with a break on the 31st. Think the two both celebrating 25 years could be a gimmicky headliner possibility?
Nope. They're playing a July 1-2 at Alpine. That rules out Chicago.
Typically, they'll play Northerly (which is new) or they'll play Alpine which is about 2 hours away

Ah, gotcha. Not from the area and didn't notice those. Just jumpin the gun I guess. ANyone have any other theories outside of LCD and Radiohead? Seems like everything is getting shot down pretty quickly.
I would definitely put one or two EDM acts in your headliner guesses. I doubt Lolla would share two headliners with Coachella, so I'd rule out Calvin Harris. My guess is Jack U and Disclosure.
Arcade Fire playing two European festival dates in July. Press release says these will be their only ***European*** festival dates. All of a sudden, we can't completely rule AF out like before.
Hey everyone, trying to help my GF out who is currently doing some research into some music festivals for her PR firm. Couldn't find any information on the Lolla website really, but does Lollapalooza have a strict cigarette smoking rule? Is there a designated area for Cigarette smokers? Do they care about Vaporizers being smoked on the grounds? Was hoping someone who has been to the festival could give some insight. Thanks a ton to those that respond

... They are both playing Coachella too....
They're not headlining Coachella though is what I meant

Why would they headline Lolla then?
Becuase Lolla considers the Sam Smith/Weeknd/Bassnectar slots from last year to be "headliners" so I can see Jack U and Disclosure filling those spots this year

There has been a smoking and e-cig ban in Chicago for years but in the past the festivals here and law enforcement haven't cared to enforce it at any festivals. There aren't any designated areas.

I never knew that. Lolla is one of the few festivals I've been to that doesn't sell cigarettes in their general store, but they're not on the list of prohibited items or anything like that.

Yeah the ban went into effect a few years ago for all public parks right before Riot Fest. The festival said cops weren't planning to ticket anyone for it during festivals. You also can't smoke so many feet from most building entrance so you could probably get a ticket most anywhere you walk by Lolla if they actually enforced it. Ive never heard of anyone getting a fine. A lot of places will ask you to move if you're too close to the door
wait, so we are quite certain Lolla got Radiohead AND LCD? Sorry, I just wanna make sure i don't get too excited for no reason. A friend of mine agreed if they have those two, we should go and they happen to have family that lives in Chicago!!!

i read people talking like it was certain, but didn't see people confirm it. Thanks!!! Fuck, I can't wait now
Arcade Fire Tube thinks Arcade Fire is playing WayHome Festival and Panorama in the same weekend and just heading back into the studio.
Just saw that, apparently there are rumors of them playing WayHome, but it seems like that Panorama is just them speculating based off if they decided to play two shows in one weekend, like they are doing in Europe.
