Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I will say, though, that there are a few undercard bands that have made me go "Oh, that's cool" already (Chairlift, Pinegrove, Autolux, Baio, Bob Moses, etc.) already and I'm sure there will be more! Still pretty pissed about G-Eazy though.

really like this lineup, given i have different taste than a good amount of you.
would definitely see: Radiohead, LCD, RHCP (even though i hear they're lame now, I've never seen them and feel the need to), J. Cole (fuck y'all he's pretty good imo), Disclosure, Janes Addiction, Flume, M83, Flosstradamus, Die Antwoord, Bryson Tiller, Bloc Party, The last shadow puppets, Griz, Local Natives, The Arcs, Ghost, Vince Staples, Cherub, The Front Bottoms, FIDLAR, WAVVES, Flatbush Zombies, Modern Baseball, Louis The Child.

Coachella is tops in North America for me so far based on the amount of acts I'm not likely to see play in the US on the regular that I'd be excited for.

It's not bad, but it's far from amazing. Top two aside, it's a big improvement from last year. Still unsure of whether or not to do this or Osheaga though. Need to see their daily schedule before making a decision.
It's better than Roo and Firefly, comparable to Gov Ball, but not as good as Panorama or Coachella in my opinion.
Ha. To continue the bromance, these were four of the names that I was going to use to legitimize my like of the lineup. I also wanted to clarify that it's not like an omg! I'm making this happen lineup. It's good though. Not much in terms of exclusivity for sure, but there's several names on there for bands I haven't seen or want to see again. Definitely more at first glance than Bonnaroo. There are also names on there that I wouldn't go near if you paid me to, but that's going to happen at any festival. As mentioned already, it's certainly an improvement over last year.
Eh, the problem with this lineup is the problem with most of the big fests. There's no attempt to curate anything individual, it's just the same bands you can find anywhere. I can only count four acts on here (Radiohead, Local Natives, Frightened Rabbit, Classixx) that I'd want to see that aren't easily available anywhere else. This is what the big fests (and, seemingly, LiveNation fests in particular) have been doing - it's a simple exploit of the festival boom and the shift in demographic.
Also, the electronic music on this lineup is particularly execrable - like, EDC levels of bad.
That said, just like any fest, of course it's more than possible to put together an enjoyable day here.
Classixx is also at Panorama, which I'm very much looking forward to
Some decent stuff thrown in. I like Grandtheft in the lower cards. /100
For me, I think Saturday would easily be the best day with RHCP, Disclosure, Juana's Addiction, Big Grams, Big Gigantic (working on that new album with a bunch of different singers, rappers and styles), Mutemath and The Joy Formidable. That's not a bad day at all.
I really like this lineup - hopefully there aren't too many major conflicts on Friday or Saturday. I'm slightly concerned they'd put RHCP and Jane's Addiction at the same time, but I'd definitely choose JA since I've seen RHCP a bunch of times already.
Unless you're really into electronic, I don't see how Coachella> Lolla. In terms of headliners at least, Lolla>>>>>>>>Coachella all day.
The reason Coachella is better than Lollapalooza is the ratio of terrible bands is much smaller.
Sure, there is questionable stuff at Coachella such as Ellie Goulding, Halsey, James Bay, 1975 and Calvin Harris - to knock out the big ones. But the undercard is rock solid. There is a much bigger list of arguably BAD music on that Lollapalooza list.
Lolla has great acts, no question. Radiohead is always a huge get. But man, there is some garbage on that poster.
Unless you're really into electronic, I don't see how Coachella> Lolla. In terms of headliners at least, Lolla>>>>>>>>Coachella all day.
The acts I care about at Lollapalooza that aren't at Coachella: Radiohead, Local Natives, Classixx, Frightened Rabbit, Yeasayer.
The acts I care about at Coachella that aren't at Lollapalooza: Sufjan Stevens, Underworld, the Kills, 2manydjs, St. Germain, Savages, Parov Stelar, Black Coffee, HEALTH, Guns N Roses, Chvrches, Lush, Deerhunter, Nina Kraviz, DJ Koze, badbadnotgood, Dubfire, Matthew Dear, Algiers, GoGo Penguin, the Black Madonna, Sia, Rancid, HudMo, Kamasi Washington, Claptone, Deadheaven, Anderson. Paak, Nosaj Thing, Tensnake, Young Fathers, the Heavy.
Obviously personal preferences dictate, but most of the acts that I'm seeing on Lolla's lineup that aren't also at Coachella are not my thing at all - J. Cole, Future, Hardwell, Martin Garrixx, Die Antwoord, Bastille, Bloc Party, Big Grams, Excision, Big G, Mac Miller, etc.
Nailed it. I feel like a lot of people are really overlooking Coachella's undercard. I'd throw in Melody's Echo Chamber and The Damned as well.
Stupid question, but I always see people referring to the big 4.....Coachella, Lolla, Roo, what's the fourth?
ACL. New Orleans Jazzfest gets honorable mention based on size and age I think.
Decent Lolla lineup here. Interesting comparing the headliners to Roo
Radiohead - Dead & Co. RHCP - Pearl Jam LCD/J. Cole - LCD/J. Cole
I know by pretty much any measure Radiohead is a better booking than Dead & Co., but I'm personally more excited for the Ratdog N' Mayer Jamboree than I would be for Radiohead. This is because something is wrong with me, whenever I hear the opening chords to "Help On The Way" all objectivity goes out the window.
Pearl Jam beats RHCP.
A lot of Roo/Lolla undercard crossover which I guess shouldn't be surprising. Would've liked to see a Duke Dumont or similar house DJ on the Roo lineup. Beyond that no names that really jump out at me.

The one thing that really excites me about this lineup is that a new Local Natives album is likely coming sooner rather than later, and they'll probably be at Coachella 2017.
The EDM on here ventures close to Bonnaroo levels of bad, and it's only saved by acts like Bob Moses and Classixx.
I enjoy Griz, Bob Moses, Classixx, Jauz, Zhu, Seven Lions, and even Snails.......
but Floss, Yellow Claw, Hardwell, Garrix, Flume, Major Lazer, Adventure Club, and Big Gigantic made me laugh.
Considering the list of acts that "made you laugh", I'm shocked you enjoy Griz, Jauz, Seven Lions, and Snails as they're on the same level, if not worse.

It's like we're the exact opposite human being. What you just described sounds like my worst nightmare. Literally one act in there that I'd see, and that's only if there was nothing else going on.
If anything, I think Friday has potential as a single-day: Radiohead, M83, Foals, Frightened Rabbit, Duke Dumont, Wolf Alice, Rufus, Modern Baseball, Skepta, Haelos could be really enjoyable if the schedule allows.
LOL. I agree with you on Radiohead (if Live Nation is turning everything into a generic mix of the same acts, I guess Voodoo isn't out of the question) and probably Wolf Alice (maybe Modern Baseball). As for Rufus, is that the old pre-disco superfunk act that used to work with Chaka Khan? If so, you know that's going to rule. Skepta is a decent rapper, but I haven't heard enough to have an opinion. I don't much like Duke though I tried heading into Voodoo last year.
Every time I see Oliver Heldens I think it's Armand Van Helden and I get really excited. Then I realize it's not and I get sad.
Armand van Helden was kinda slacking a few years ago, so I'm curious if he's gotten better. The b2b set he played with Jackmaster at Pete Tong's MMW pool party is online, curious to hear how that was since I was so bummed missing it
Nailed it. I feel like a lot of people are really overlooking Coachella's undercard. I'd throw in Melody's Echo Chamber and The Damned as well.
There are probably more I could throw in there, I was just selecting my favorites. But yeah, undercards are always more important to me than headliners, and I tend to stick with Coachella because I feel like they are the only one of the big fests to really nail that part of it anymore.
Agreed. As much as I like a good headliner the undercard is much more important. Coachella always seems to put together both a great undercard and a great schedule to match.
