I saw some bitching up top that I didn't quite understand about the Samsung Galaxy section. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING TO BITCH ABOUT! It's not for diehards, it's off to the side, but they have free food and drink tickets usually, hammocks, and sometimes performances (Chainsmokers did a set at ACL). It's a nice gift to those of us that have Galaxy phones. Two years ago we were able to chill and watch Em and Ri from relatively relaxing environments because we had a sick kid with us.
Also, last year at ACL I won a free Samsung tablet from their booth. They are consistently awesome at these fests.

Hoping this Floss stream is better than the last two times I saw them. I'm expecting a harder set with the hometown gig. It'll be somewhat douchey but hopefully they go harder.
Waiting for M83 to start. Last Shadow Puppets, Autolux, and Danny Brown were all very good today. Not so good (for my wallet): I may or may not have misread some iPad instructions and left a 90% tip for a cocktail.
The crowds were noticeably worse than last year. But I went out of my way to see a lot of crappy artists. With nobody on today's lineup that I was dying to see I figured I would take the day to enjoy some mindless pop and try to find girls but yikes. Wrong choice. Closed out the night seeing J. Cole for 15 min. TLSP for 35 (wow favorite set of the day. Far better than their already great Coachella performance and Alex has Suck it and See era hair now), and the tail end of Lana just so I could tell every girl that I've seen Lana. Overall I had a good time but my oh my were there some bad shows. I don't think I've ever been more bored at a concert than at City and Color. Is the bassist the same as the Dead Weather/Raconteurs? He looks like Skrillex and plays bass so I was wondering if anyone knew? Also Pinegrove is amazing. Great first show of the fest
Thoughts on the day: Autolux was such a perfect way to kick off the fest. Carla is a beast behind the drums! Bob Moses was great despite the rain and Wavves had a very energetic (and young) crowd. I swear, there was one time where all three of the crowdsurfers had braces. Not use to seeing that, having only been to Roo. The 1975 and Lana were better than expected. Even though they aren't really my thing, I dug both stage setups. Many girls didn't make it through Lana's set and had to be carried out. The spirit was willing but the flesh was drunk and dehydrated. Anyways, I enjoyed my first day at Lolla. My gf didn't as much because both times I left her for a second to get food or use the restroom, she got groped by a horny highschooler. So that wasn't cool. Overall, a solid 6.5/10 day. Ready to camp HARD for Radiohead tomorrow!

Also if you're a big RATM fan (and I mean big RATM fan) and can suffer through an X Ambassadors set. Tom Morello will be playing with them. Not really sure why.
