Audien sucks. City and Color is boring. I'm watching Foals again trying to understand the hype coming out of Hangout and wondering if they stood out because so much else sucked. Not much I want to see today. Frightened Rabbit, Future, GRiZ, Ferg and maybe some Wolf Alice.
Tomorrow I'll see Big Grams Joy Formidable 2 Door Jane's Mutemath Big G LSP and Disclosure. Sunday maybe Fidlar M83 LCD Snails and Adventure Club.
Foals is bad ass, they killed it. Wish I didn't blackout during during their hanger set lol. Rufus had a pretty good set for someone I never listened to before. Gonna watch Cherub next and hopefully Griz later

You don't find them sort of generic and boring? I'm not hating, I just don't get it much apparently. I've seen a couple sets now because they are a likely Voodoo preHL. I was also looking blindly forward to Frightened Rabbit, but they are pretty jingly simplistic.

Streamed sets aren't always great at grabbing the actual sound, but the set seemed a bit off. Their set at Hangout was one of the best this year so far and during Two Steps Twice the crowd was losing it. Def seeing them at Voodoo.

They grew on me as the set went on. The more I listen the more I like. Nothing crazy but would take them on any fest undercard I attend. Solid midday act imo.
Is it me, or is Miike Snow really putting in some work and uping their musicality and even jamming out a bit. Sylvia and Black n Blue....that shit sounded so good on AltNations live stream.
Future honestly looked like a lot of fun on the livestream. I wouldn't have been at his set if I were there, but I wouldn't be mad if he ended up at Bonnaroo next year. He's actually learned how to perform a bit.

I thought he was trash on the stream haha
I mean that was about as good as a Future show could possibly get. If you don't like Future's music nothing is going to change when he does those songs live. But I enjoy a good amount of his music. It's not what I listen to in my free time, but his music is fun in certain situations.

I hear ya. I put him on in the gym sometimes but that's about it haha. Doesn't really translate live for me. To each their own though.
The second half of that Radiohead set was incredible. Wasn't really expecting them to do Street Spirit so that was a nice surprise. Frank Turner, Haelos, Saba, and Rufus du Sol were great too.
It was awesome meeting you guys! After Saba I caught most of Saint Motel which just felt like a Fitz and the Tantrums rip off. More of a show my mom would like. After that was Joey Purp. Perry's crowd wasn't as awful as yesterday and I moshed for the latter half. I was bummed that Chance came out for some other Perry's set. I don't get why he would ignore his friends for a later time slot, especially when he could have just played the festival. Camped from Foals on and both Foals and M83 were really great (man that bassist/guitarist of M83 is the star of the show) but what was wrong with mixing for M83. There was an obnoxious amount of sub bass to where it not only hurt my ears (I'm an idiot and didn't bring ear plugs like I planned) but also drowned out a lot of instrumentation. I made some friends in the crowd before Radiohead and they exceeded all (very high) expectations by a very large margin. I'm seriously speechless about it. 0 complaints minus the unavoidable "Why didn't the play...?"
