Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
A guy at nachbar told us a month ago that Brian Wilson doing Pet Sounds had been booked and I noticed that was booked for primavera sound so that rumor has some legs to it now.
That's not looking so hot anymore. He's playing nearby at the Horseshoe Casino in Indiana on July 15th.
If fits in with the put me to sleep motif that the festival has seemed to lean towards over the past 2 years but I'm really wanting to see this one so I hope it pans out and I won't bitch to much about it.
I would agree with the "put me to sleep" item but Forecastle does always seem to add in some decent non-headliner rock-esque acts that turn up the noise:
2015:JEFF the Brotherhood, DP, Twin Peaks, King Tuff 2014:Reignwolf, The Replacements, Against Me!, Black Lips 2013: Don't really remember much from this year 2012: Sleigh Bells, Cloud Nothings, Clutch (this year was really strong for EDM - Girl Talk, Bassnectar, FlyLo)
Don't forget the glory that was White Reaper last year.

Possibly. I'm sure that anyone that would pay to see him at horseshoe casino would never consider Forecastle as an option. Seems odd he would take of a Saturday night.

That's a fair point, and he is playing in Philly and Easton back to back, which are close. There's still a bit of hope, but I'd say it's slim. I would LOVE to be wrong, though.

really pulling for Dead & Co at the top. In addition to being a fantastic get for a festival of Forecastle's size, they would make the rest of the lineup look better as the names shifted down a spot.

I wonder if we'll essentially get the second half of the line-up or just a few additions with more to come later.
Dead&Co (maybe) The Arcs Pokey LaFarge & Unknown Mortal Orchestra
are a pretty good (if a little white bread) collection of additions. Would really like to see some more electronic or rap added, but who knows with this fest?

All aboard! The Forecastle lineup additions are here, including festival alum Dan Auerbach-fronted The Arcs, Americana genre benders Pokey LaFarge, beatmaster Baauer, indie favorites Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and more!
Of note, Teddy Abrams, Music Director for the Louisville Orchestra, joins the lineup and will curate a special Louisville-centric showcase with artist collaborations, orchestral arrangements and more. The youngest music director in the orchestra’s 78-year history, Abrams has received international acclaim as both as a composer and director, and a champion for making symphonic music accessible to the masses.
Other additions include Hudson Mohawke, AlunaGeorge, Tourist, Heartless Bastards, Patrick Watson, Sarah Jarosz, Banners, Madisen Ward & The Mama Bear, River Tiber, Seratones, Black Pistol Fire, Joan Shelley, Future Thieves, and Myzica. The full festival lineup can be found here!
While the daily lineups will be announced in the coming weeks along with daily tickets, don’t forget GA and VIP weekend passes, as well as payment plans, are on sale now! Score yours and join your mates on the Waterfront! Get in the groove with The Arcs below!

Some decent rock adds there w/ Heartless Bastards and Black Pistol Fire. Teddy Abrams is awesome and does some really cool things and has a lot of support from musicians in Louisville so who knows who may show up for whatever he puts on. Was hoping for maybe one more headliner, I don't consider DCFC to be a headliner even for this fest (would prefer Ryan Adams), but overall not terrible

I should probably listen to The Arcs.
I like these adds. I already want to see Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Alunageorge, Tourist, Sarah jarosz, Black Pistol Fire and Joan Shelley. Plus, I love the sound of that showcase. Need to listen to the other acts to see what else is going on there.

Not terrible. Hudson Mohawke and Sarah Jarosz are good adds along with what we already knew. Still not the best compared to the greatness of 2014, but better than last year I'd say.

Those are solid adds. Ghostland puts on a great show. Still weak headliners but after WSP and Sam Smith last year almost any top 3 would at least be equal.
hmmm... those adds definitely piqued my interest in this fest quite a bit. the electronic (baauer and hudmo!!) is arguably better than roo's hahaha. but between new acts and acts i've seen there's a lot of value here for only $150 a ticket.

A lot of carry over from Shaky Knees last year (Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, Dr. Dog, Speedy Ortiz, Steve Gunn, Heartless Bastards).
Definitely improved from last year. If the schedule works out to where I could see The Arcs -> Ryan Adams -> Alabama Shakes/DCFC on the same day...I would be very tempted. Reds are in town that weekend as well (even though they may finish with the worse records in MLB this year).

Yeah, but Pete's going into the Reds' Hall of Fame! And Junior is going into Cooperstown! There's plenty to be excited about in 2016! *weeps silently into 2015 All Star Game rally towel*
Jealous of Ghostland. Their lead singer for the past few years has been trying to push his own project (Aaron Behrens and the Midnight Stroll), but I don't think he can shake the fact people love Ghostland.
I saw the reasoning for this one. I don't know what is going on with the clues but there is definitely something going on there. Great addition for me.
Are they a good live band or are you excited based on your like of their music?

Excited based off the music. I don't think I have seen them live. I planned on going at Bonnaroo this past year, but I didn't make it.

Try Future Thieves. On Tap stage was used for a meeting place at Roo last year on Thursday and I enjoyed their set. Admittedly I went into it with zero expectations though. Nashville based band I believe.
Thanks for the tip. I listened to a song or two today and plan on checking out more.
