The Charles Bradley aftershow is 21+ right? That may mean they have a later curfew. FWIW, it takes 20 mins by MBTA to travel from City Hall Plaza to The Sinclair.
Last year Run the Jewels didn't come on until 1AM. I left MMJ early after getting a free ticket....it was a mistake since I waited for almost 2 hours for Run the Jewels to come on.

After hearing this I'm definitely still going to get a ticket, or at least try to. How fast did the aftershows sell out last year? I work in a restaurant so I can't guarantee I'll have a free moment to purchase a ticket exactly at noontime.
It seems like the big change is more time onstage for second line acts. I may be wrong, but I seem to recall start times around 8:10 - 8:20 for The Replacements and The Decemberists.

ODESZA and Haim are scheduled for 70 minutes; there's a 15 minute gap between them and the respective day headliners. Through they may still only play for an hour. I remember Chvrches last fall not utilizing their extended set time either.
PSA: aftershow presale is tomorrow at noon, use password AFTERSHOW

I think it sold out maybe a week before. Charles Bradley doesn't feel like the type of show that would sell out as fast as Run the Jewels though, so you should be good buying later in the day or even this weekend.

I seem to recall 50-60 min in the past for 2nd liners, so this is definitely an improvement.
I don't know how long Haim can perform, unless they want to do a whole lot of unreleased material from their forthcoming second album.

Their shows used to be right around 60-70 minutes. Like 10 songs from their album and a couple covers (Fleetwood Mac and Beyoncé if I recall the show I saw correctly), so they can easily play that length with new material.
Super happy that Sufjan is getting 75 minutes of which a portion will be in the dark. Crash Line is making the best out of that scheduling.
Not only this, but per the schedule app he is playing on the Xfinity Red Stage (as the only one for that day) in lieu of the Blue Stage. Perfect!! Who else is joining me for the front row barrier?
Just got this e-mail, as did many of you, I'm sure:
hanks for purchasing a multi-day pass to Boston Calling Music Festival! You should’ve received an email from us by now with an electronic PDF attached that contains your tickets (please email us if you need this resent to you). Still have questions? Email us at info@bostoncalling.com
Thanks for your purchase and we look forward to seeing you next weekend!
So, here's the thing that just occurred to me. At past editions, you'd get a fairly thorough, "empty your pockets" once over with the metal detector when you first entered for the day and got your wristband for that day. They wouldn't make you go through the same thing on later re-entries, once you had the wristband.
Now, though, they're not going to know if you've been through the gates yet that day or not (unless you're on a one-day), so we may get the once over two or three times during the course of the day. If a lot of people are returning from an offsite meal or drink or whatever around the same time, the lines to re-enter could be longer than we're used to.

I've had my bag inspected upon re-entry in the past. Plus, there was always a separate line designated for re-entry. Don't think there will be any differences this year.

The new map is also out on the app, and the turf grass area is now next to the Red Stage on the left side (the third stage is now where the grass used to be).
Hopefully it'll make for a chill spot, and not distract people standing close to the stage (due to traffic flow and people talking).

As much as I enjoy it, this is the ultimate "people talking" festival. Drives me nuts.
Take this with a big grain of salt, since weather reports more than five days out are subject to serious change, but it's looking like at least one day will see some rain. Hopefully, nothing as bad as both Saturdays in 2014.

I was so lucky during Jack that I was wearing a new jacket that looked like a glorified sweatshirt but actually was waterproof aaand had a hood with a little bill, so I was able to keep the rain mostly off of my face too.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I'd be perfectly content with getting the exact same Sufjan show as his Coachella set.
This, plus 25 minutes in additional songs. I'm betting on a setlist something like this:
Seven Swans Too Much All of Me Wants All of You Fourth of July Vesuvius Carrie & Lowell Come On Feel the Illinoise I Want To Be Well Impossible Soul Chicago Hotline Bling

Needs more Purple Rain
I think should have known better should be in there somewhere

Should Have Known Better ("SHKB") would be great, but Sufjan's current festival show is focused on his party side. Some of the Carrie & Lowell tracks can be rearranged for this (such as the ones he played at Coachella), but I'm not sure whether SHKB would work in this context.
Though I'd love to hear John Wayne Gacy, Jr. (Sufjan 2016 Clown Balloon Remix).
