"We are thrilled to announce that Boston Calling will be relocating to the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, MA for May 2017. There will be no September edition in 2016, as the festival will now take place once a year on Memorial Day weekend. The move will allow us to expand our offerings to include a combination of music, film, comedy, and visual art. The festival will build upon our diverse lineup of music with Aaron Dessner continuing as music curator, and introduce a new film program curated by Academy Award-winning actress, producer and director Natalie Portman. We are so grateful to have called City Hall Plaza home for the past 3 years, and can't wait to expand and enrich Boston Calling while still proudly being located in this great city. More information to come soon…"

I've attended Lowlands in The Netherlands where they also have film and other performing arts tents. Little too much outside noise that leaks inside the tents for my taste, but it can certainly work.
Will miss the twice-a-year format, but curious to see how the festival will change.

Of course, I have to be in Franklin at 2.
If you can make it later than that, name a time and I'll be at that spot in Arlington. It's a block from my apartment/home office, and I don't have any specific time commitments for the rest of the day, other than working. PM if interested.

This is a dumb question, but you didn't get a pdf of your tickets? Did early birds get physical tickets?

Yeah, I got a PDF. I'm not quite sure how I'd receive payment for it without a ticket-for-cash exchange.
How much do you guys think the venue change will impact size of the lineup? Obviously a tough thing to guess without more details but could be exciting if we end up with something like 40+ artists
