Tame Impala played BC last year. I saw them open for beck.
I was also there along with every other Tame Impala show in Boston. I was just lamenting the fact that their only Boston show of their tour was a short set here.
Last year we had 5 artists cross over from Sasquatch (all good ones too, Tame Impala, St. Vincent, Run the Jewels, MØ, and Sharon Van Etten)
So going off that, my hopes/expectations would be:
Chet Faker (would his cancellation last year increase or decrease his chances?) M83 Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats Unknown Mortal Orchestra (no Boston date on his upcoming tour seems to support this) Vince Staples

M83 tour dates announced around BC:
May 27-30 - The Gorge, WA - Sasquatch Music Festival May 31 - Morrison, CO - Red Rocks Amphitheatre June 4 - New York, NY - The Governors Ball Music Festival
May 27-30 - The Gorge, WA - Sasquatch Music Festival May 31 - Morrison, CO - Red Rocks Amphitheatre June 4 - New York, NY - The Governors Ball Music Festival
Hmm, I feel like that could go either way. Going from WA to Boston, to CO, to NYC seems like a crazy tour route. I'm alright because I'm going to Roo and probably Gov Ball, so I'll have chances to see them, but it still sucks that BC might miss out on them.

I'd think a Boston date would be closer to the Gov Ball appearance, rather than Boston Calling

It would be disappointing to have M83 skip over Boston. I'd love a show at Agganis with Tame Impala like their show together at Merriweather Post Pavilion.
92.5 The River just posted on Twitter and Facebook that they're doing a special on Thurs morning at 8:30 am where they'll announce the "River Artists" who are playing Boston Calling in May.
I can't see Crashline letting anyone else have first dibs on announcing any of the performers, so it's got to be tomorrow.
I suspect that they may not be doing the vinyl scavenger hunt this year. They sent out a couple of cryptic tweets this morning about working on something in their laboratory. Maybe they've found a way to hide the info online and have people search for it there, or utilize social media to announce the lineup in an entirely new way.
Getting back to The River, they do a mix of Americana/alt-country, some folk, some jam band, some classic rock, some indie/alternative. Their last 20 songs played, as of this writing, include Cage The Elephant, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, and...Ryan Adams.

Further clarification...the special will feature River Artists "headlining" Boston Calling in May. Of course, as many as five acts have been labeled headliners in a single edition before, so they could be referring to top and/or 2nd line.
Either way, I suspect this means that Ryan Adams is a lock for May.
Lineup tomorrow afternoon/night sounds good to me! Here's a final mock just so I can see how many I get right. Headliners are still a mystery to me.
The Strokes • Bon Iver • Dispatch Ryan Adams • Haim • The Lumineers • Chance the Rapper • The Kills Grimes • Chet Faker • Grace Potter • Miike Snow • Matt and Kim Courtney Barnet • Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats • Cold War Kids Vince Staples • Unknown Mortal Orchestra • Elle King • The Struts Kaleo • Speedy Ortiz • Quilt • Lady Lamb
Elle King Janelle Monae The Vaccines Lisa Hannigan and Aaron Dessner
For some reason, the board won't let me create a link to a Twitter photo, but check out the tweets and replies for @johnjaydutch. He's got a photo of some artwork which appears to be 1/4 or 1/6 of a larger puzzle, each piece listing a few acts.

Someone -- an early bird ticket buyer? -- was mailed that section and she posted it on Twitter, where a few people have also posted it.
I just exchanged a couple of tweets with the young lady who received it in the mail and she thinks it's because she bought early bird. She also knew that they're announcing the full lineup on Thursday.
Hopefully, more sections will show up in mailboxes on Wednesday and we'll see more sections.

Those are some good gets. Was hoping for janelle monae but stopped because she wasn't on any other lineups. That'll be a fantastic set

If they're playing at Merriwether, the equivalent would be Great Woods (whatever the hell Comcast wants to call it) - not Agganis
Plus Agganis is a shithole
Something's off about Agganis. Maybe it's the combination of the TSA-level security and the way so much light streams in from the concourse (and brightly illuminated steps) during a show, but the vibe feels odd, and not in a good way, in that building.
I've seen a few of my favorites there -- Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Pavement -- and while I enjoyed the shows, I don't think that I enjoyed those performances as much as I would have had the exact same sets been played in a different venue.
