Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

It will probably be the same format as last year, but with more acts on the third stage. They can't have the two main stages going on at the same time.
Guys, I am really, really liking this. I'm dancing in my seat. It's been awhile since I have felt this way about a fest that I am actually going to (Newport has that rolling drop and it does not have the shock factor of the poster drop).

This would be a great lineup if they took away the top line and lowered the price.
Yea, as much as I realize Tool and Mumford are big gets, they've never been my style and I've already seen chance though it's been a while. I'm still stoked for it though, the undercard is probably the highest average quality I've seen and if nothing else, Mumford will be a great singalong.
There isn't a single act I'm thrilled about, but there are half-a-dozen I'm happy-to-very happy about and another dozen I'm curious about, which is what you want from a festival lineup. There are a whole much of acts listed whom I thought about getting tickets to see, but ultimately weren't a high enough priority for me, and that's the sweet spot for a festival lineup. You're going to see your top dozen favorite artists when they headline in your town, anyway.
Nobody's saying that Blue Hills Pavilion is limiting its lineup to the likes of Foreigner and Chicago. I'm expecting the announcement of a Wilco date after Solid Sound has sold out or taken place, definitely expecting Ryan Adams to play there or elsewhere in town this summer, and so forth.
I do feel completely trolled by Margo Price, however. 😬
You got 2 out of 3 guitar headliners, and you're still not statisfied?

Chance, Run The Jewels, Sigur Ros, Solange, Flatbush Zombies, Wolf Parade, Danny Brown, Mitski, Deerhoof, Moses Sumney, and Kevin Morby.
I could see myself going for a day or two and leaving at night. I just really wish those headliners were better and I'd like this lineup way more. Wonder how this will do on the secondary market? I'm guessing whatever day Tool plays will sell out.
A film experience curated by Natalie Portman...Wtf?? That's pretty damn awesome.
You say that now, but do you really want to sit through an 8-hour documentary on the life and times of Jar Jar Binks?
(Seriously, how many people are going to want to sit through a 90 min or two hour movie? That doesn't mean missing only one musical performer, it likely takes out all or part of two sets. To me, it's a place to go sit down for 20 minutes before heading to catch another band.)

I'm pumped to see most of the artists on the first three lines of the poster. But I'm also excited to see WOLF PARADE back on the circuit!
Wolf Parade is what took me from "I'm gonna strongly think about buying a ticket," to "I need a ticket right now at 10:00am on the dot. Saw them last spring at Bowery Ballroom....amazing.

I had ZERO intent of going to this festival as of yesterday, and I just bought an early bird ticket. Such a great lineup - now to figure out logistics!

I'm satisfied, not thrilled. The icing on the cake is one or two of your favorites, and that didn't happen. But I'm definitely happy with the lineup. But a lineup is always a little more special when one of your favorites is on the poster.
Part of the fun of a festival lineup drop is checking out everyone you've never heard on YouTube or Spotify and running across a few acts you're now happy to have the opportunity to see soon.
