we doing any meetups? maybe at a small show we are all going to, something like Bully. where do inforoo'ers meet at shows? it's either to the left or right of the soundboard, i don't remember.
Left. Always the left. Unless VIP is on the left that is.
How about we meet tomorrow at the All Them Witches set at the Toyota stage? That seems like it would be as easy as it gets logistically.
Also, def hit up the WWII Museum, Brimd, it's incredible. Def need about 3 hrs min to get through it. I went on 7/3 and it was a humbling experience to say the least.

good point. we can just meet to the left of the soundboard whenever and wherever All Them Witches are playing. That should be a general inforoo thing at any festival.

I'll be at that Toyota set and will probably see you before that anyway. Agree on WWII of course. Spend the extra 10-15 to see the surround sound movie. They just changed it out this week to Hacksaw Ridge. Mel Gibson was just in town for the premier. Beyond All Boundaries was the last one, and it was great as ****.
im so fucking bummed im not heading to this. planned on coming all the way back in may but i couldn't work it out, i should be be in NOLA by now waiting for cmack to drive in before heading to raaaage at Estebans! ill be checking in on the live stream when i can.
Word y'all. If either of you can get grab a last minute 1 day flight for zilch (which is probably impossible around Voodoo/Halloween at this point), feel free to hit me up. cmack said he'll be in around 9ish. Time for me to gtfo of work.
For future reference, the tickets always go on sale in December for about $100.00. You can always resell them for a profit off of that price if you can't make it. Only real expense is partying and travel to/from. Of course Philly and Chicago have plenty of city fests so you know how those are. We've just been fortunate enough to have an apartment 10 blocks away the last few years.

The presale this year was $99 no fees. This C3 productions taken over is pretty sweet. You can't go wrong with that price point.
"We just added Rae Sremmurd to the #VoodooFest Lineup! Catch em on the Pepsi Stage at 8:45 TOMORROW night!"
i'm not a fan but damn, nice job voodoo. they are at least an equivalent name to Gates if not bigger.
I am feeling pretty damn pleased with C3's or Sig's (in his fancy new position) handling of the fest/lineup this year. Pretty fucking impressive. Plus, we get super pretty ACL style wristbands.
Rae Sremmurd is way to fucking hype for me. I love some rap. And I like trap. But it's all hype. Their band is pretty good, but this does nothing for me. Kevin Gates is real. This is hype though I realize it's a pretty decent last second replacement. So I'll give them that. And they sold out here earlier this month at Republic (small venue).
This is a reminder that we will be at the House of Shock tonight for 7pm. I will have on a birthday cake hat with candles that lights up on, you will not miss me. All are welcome to get scary with me (I don't get scared, I love this shit and laugh and have tons of fun). This is the best haunted house in New Orleans and is only $25.

@radiatebased said they were good at Voodoo.
Buku*
But yeah I feel like they mastered the art of making fun party music. They still do some things that usually annoy me like rapping over their own vocals the entire time. They aren't a "must see" act at all. But it's a fun rowdy time if you do. Lots of fun moshing n stuff if you're into that sort of thing. Also the energy that's in the Ballroom stage at Buku during rap shows helped a lot.
Struggling hard w time. I might miss that Mutemath show. Anyone interested? Hate to see it go to waste.
We're stuck in a huge traffic jam on I10 in Mississippi right now. Have no clue what's going on but haven't moved in 30 minutes hope everyone is alright. We were planning on Mutemath as well tonight hope we both make it
My flight from Baltimore leaves at 6am! Can't wait, which will probably make it hard to sleep at all tonight. Hope to meet some of you peeps. I'll probably be the longhaired hippie in a Shaky Knees shirt!
I should be more jacked but Friday isn't all that musically for me. I'm still going to be there all day and will have a ball but Foals will have to be prime time for it to be anything other than a C day for me. Maybe What So Not or Reignwolf can pull a bad ass show as well but C+ is my ceiling. Saturday has a shot at an A, and Sunday could be B/B+ range. I'll check the thread later, and I'll put up my anticipated schedule and whatever music tshirt I decide to wear before I leave out tomorrow. Plan is to do some live updates if i can physically type and get some by day reviews. Voodoo is always the shit for me and my kids, so it's definitely going to be on.
So glad you figured that shit out. That was fucking clutch.
Weekend already started. Yo JGW76, one of my boys from Texas is looking to get 3 signed tool posters. I couldn't tell him the logistics so let me know if you encounter. He's planning on being there for opening bell, so it's possible they have them then. I don't know.
Edit to say also one of our friends won the Mutemath contest (free tix tonight, backstage tomorrow and 2 free voodo tix), and my middle kid went to the kickoff show. He didn't know them and said the show was awesome. Instruments in the crowd, drum sticks handed out, etc
Went to Le Bon tonight to see The Soul Rebels and those shitheads charged $10 at the door for a show in the backroom of the bar that was so full you LITERALLY could not physically get inside. So we paid $10 each to stand in the front bar area and listen to the radio. Needless to say we left.
Like this post if you didn't have to drive one hour back words to search for the wallet you dropped in a random Louisiana gas station
Back in my day of being a young dipshit, we had chain wallets. Fashion + function. Then after the 9/11 thing those were taken at the door of venues. My chain was taken at a Perfect Circle show in p'cola. That was the first night I was forced to become a responsible adult at the tender age of 23. My wife, gf at that time, laughed at me and said it looked stupid anyway. Turns out she was right, but I had that thing for 7 years. It was like a license to crowd surf without the "fuck where is my wallet?" at the end of the night.

I also rocked the chain wallet. I'm a bit of a tomboy.
lol @ Esteban's boy needing help to get posters to flip on ebay
I'll uh....do that myself instead.
Also guilty of 90's chainwalleting. Losing the wallet while crowdsurfing was def always a concern in the those days.
Dudes= lose yer wallet Chicks= get groped by strangers
Haha you fuck. He never saw Tool and collects posters and has 2 friends back in Austin he is buying them for. Do they still even have eBay? Last I saw those fuckers was about 2 am at Wit's figuring out they were going to catch an Uber to get 5 blocks home. Heads were on tables, though 2112 was blasting in the background.
