I am really, really hoping EV brings out the ukulele at some point. That would make my entire fucking year. Ukulele Songs is currently my going to sleep playlist.
Considering PJ has had the past 3 weeks off, and doesn't have another show for a month after Roo I have a feeling were going to be getting a few surprises during their set.
Or that they'll just cancel it due to low attendance.

Is there a bootleg archive out there anymore? I saw this show and bought the download from the band after, but long since lost it. Trying to dig it up again

Coming from the grunge era, I liked the setlist and they finished the show with an excellent cover from Neil Young's album "freedom". I was not there last night but it was probably a great show for many in attendance, besides the delay from weather. Wish it could've been on the redbull stream.
I love "Rockin In The Free World" a lot. So simple to play, except for Neil's one of a kind solo's, this song reveals some of the problems with society, not just from the early 90s, but it still rings true today. I recommend watching the music video for this song and if you're lucky there was a recording on youtube from snl....amazing performance.
I think Pearl Jam is a great band, they do not get as much credit because they rose through the grunge era, in my opinion. Young teenagers loved their music in the 90s, and now most of us still love their unique songs. Great Rock Music.
It was a great show. Yes it was a greatest hits set but I think that was a smart move with that crowd. They killed it and they were like kids up there, they were having so much fun.

Completely agree with any complaints about the setlist, but it is always a great call at a fest to play the hits. The boys were tight, McCready was an animal. Eddie seemed a little frustrated with the crowd involvement. All in all, it was a solid show and everyone around me enjoyed the hits.

This God damn maroon has the stones to straight up lie about my girlfriend for the whole world to see on the internet. To say I'm fuming isn't even a start.

I ended up emailing the editor of the website, asking that they take down this libel they had published. I woke up this morning and every mention of her was gone.

1. Wish people would fuck off about the setlist. It was a festival show, in a year where the attendance was down and the crowd was more familiar with J Cole material than Pearl Jam. They wanted to put on a show that everyone in the crowd could enjoy, and they did. The Dead did the exact same thing, arguably to a greater extent. They opened with Truckin and closed with Touch of Grey while playing about all of the known songs in-between. It had to be the most beginner show they have put on since forming...seems like everybody was happy with that though.
2. I thought Eddie's vocals were fine...did I miss something?

It wasn't in the edition I just read. I would question if he even stood in line to all day to get into the pit. If he had, there would be an entire section devoted to the post evacuation debacle with the pit line.
Setlist... I think this was an AC contract matter. Bonnaroo does on occasion play festival length set lists. They did not in 08, but the 22-24 song, greatest hit set list is not unusual. I'm of the opinion that they signed a contract to play two hours, and two hours was all they were given.

PJ's festival shows are usually hit heavy. Made in America was the same way. Their stadium shows are the ones that they break out the B sides and rarities.

In response to question #2 I'd guess the casual fan missed nothing. The ones there that know the lyrics were outright confused how Ed could fuck up so many times on multiple songs. Missed whole verses, was delayed in others, when they opened with Go I assumed it was an issue with his monitor.
Then once he'd gone batshit 3 straight songs and was slurry I knew it was going to be an interesting night.
20+ years of PJ shows I'd never seen Ed that loaded from the start. There are shows he's toasty by the encore, but Roo 2016 was something new. Once he actually tossed his wine bottle 10 people deep I had to laugh. Just glad no one got brained!!

And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
People on here are so critical of shows sometimes. Casual PJ fan and it was my second favorite of the weekend. If I was half as big on PJ's music as I was LCD I would have enjoyed it more than LCD.

I def noticed that he missed verses throughout the night, but I just attributed that to him being hammered. Still think he sounded fine for the most part.
First time seeing PJ and can now mark them off my bucketlist. Got to the secondary rail behind the pit at the end of Chris Stapleton and planted ourselves for BOH , Macklemore, and PJ. Got evacuated and hung out right beyond the arch. Had the Fiance run the field when they let us in (I have a bum knee). Ended up 1 row behind where we were prior to evac! Finished Macklemore and two guys left so we ended up in the same spots as earlier! Though PJ was fantastic. I did notice Eddie messed up some lyrics but I didn't give a fuck! Thing I took away the most is at age 50 Mike is probably better guitarist then half of the 20 somethings playing over the weekend. Damn he can shred!!!
This show was great. I've seen them a handful of times, with longer and more deeper sets, but the band was on fire. I've never seen Mike shred so hard and I've never seen Jeff have so much fun. Eddie has messed up on lyrics at all six shows I have seen, so whatever, but his voice sounded great. Best Black and Even Flow I've seen hands down.
