It was my first show of theirs. I have every album they made, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. McReady was on fire...shredding like a 19 year-old. Vedder's vocal quality was good. Yes, he bungled lyrics, but they have a ginormous music catalog. The set was electric and energetic. Not sure how a bunch of guys over 50 can perform hard-core like that for two hours and still be as energetic at the end as the beginning.
If was far from my favorite PJ slow but it was still a good time. The people I was with that had never seen them before had a good time. Comparisons to Springsteen and the E Street band as tour pros.

Edit: Their Roo history kind was kind of a parallel to the Dave Matthews Band. Epic set their first time at Roo, average set the second time. Come to think of it, the same could be said for Radiohead, no?
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
It was my first Pearl Jam show as well and i thought it was a perfect set for my first. They played a raucus set, all the straight forward rock hits, the fireworks on Comfortably Numb were awesome, McCready was on point, Jeff Ament was on point, the whole band was on point really, Vedder had his political rants, it was great.

You should see their stadium shows. They always play 3 to 3.5 hours with 33 to 37 song setlists. They are ridiculous. They do pepper in some slower stuff, as Mike McCready, madman that he is, cannot go at the pace he did at Roo for 3.5 hours.
Being a huge Pearl Jam fan (my 1st concert was Pearl Jam at Soldier Field in Chicago in 1995 when I was 17), I have to admit I was slightly disappointed about the length. But I am sure the weather had alot to do with that. And I did think it is appropriate they played pretty much a greatest hits set (I haven't seen a setlist that hits heavy even at other fests), as the evacuation killed some buzz.
Eddie always flubs lyrics. Yeah he had a few miscues, but that is the price you pay when the band doesn't play the same setlist twice, EVER, and the entirety of their catalog is a possibility on any given night.

New third man records vault package is the TMR Live show with Pearl Jam and some other goodies. These vault packages are always very high quality so if you're a fan of Pearl Jam and vinyl then think about signing up.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

Did it say when the tickets would be on sale? I'm considering the first Chicago date.

It’s a decision for me coming from North East of Toronto. Definitely going to try for one of the shows. I’ve always dreamed of going to Fenway and Wrigley, but should my first time be for an actual baseball game???? Saw PJ in Seattle in 2013 in December and would love to go back, especially in the summer. My heart says Seattle, but I’m just so undecided! Lovely problem to have.

$245 a pair through Ten Club. I only registered for one Wrigley show, but at that price, I’m considering canceling all-together. I’d rather buy a 3-day pass to Pitchfork plus beer money.
