Osheaga retweeted something in French that Google Translate tells me says "It's only January and I already look forward to the lineup of @ Osheaga be revealed."
Bing translated it to say "It is only January and I already hate the osheaga lineup to be revealed."
How much were tickets last year? Should be a relatively good deal for Americans right?
$225 CAD I believe
It was $275 CAD last year. When I bought my tickets last year that ended up around $225 USD. My guess is the price will go up to somewhere around $300 CAD (I'm pretty sure it made a similar jump from '14 to '15), but if the exchange rate stays where it is or continues to go in the USD's favor, that might not end up much more than $200 USD.

I'd say we're pretty close to bottoming out now. Lowest the CAD exchange has been in the last 25 years was .62. We're sitting at .68 right now. I wouldn't bank on the CAD dipping any lower than .65, do if you want to rape and pillage our great country at a discount rate, nows the time!

I said fuck it and plopped down $150 for five nights in an apartment less than a mile from the island, I love airbnb. Only has a microwave but a shower and bed are my main priorities and at that price for my own private place, you just can't beat that. Hopefully I'll be seeing you guys there come July! Looking forward to the lineup drop, c'mon Radiohead no wammies!!!

I've been staring at airbnb deals all night. Chances are I'm going to be in for this as well now. It's such a deal. I haven't been to Montreal since I was a kid but I loved the city then.

Haven't been to Canada yet and this will be a great introduction. I plan to stay a day after the fest just to explore Montreal. You should definitely make it happen, so much good I hear about this fest.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I wanna do this... My issue is airfare. That'll be my biggest cost if I do this fest
Yeah I've been discussing it with a few people this weekend and we're strongly considering this fest. Airfare from Philly is through the roof, but a 7-8 hour drive wouldn't be the worst.
I've never been to Montreal before either, and the exchange rate is fantastic right now.
Yeah, it's only a five and a half hour drive for me which is nothing. I have driven all over for fests. This will be one of the shorter trips. We're having a baby at the end of May so May/June fests are out for me this year. This will be the first one after that I would be able to consider. Still have to figure out the logistics of either going alone or with the girlfriend and how that's all going to work.
I just checked airlines. So I'll be in NC then, living in Asheville - but RDU is much cheaper. Flying out of Charlotte would be 400 something, out of Raleigh would be around 290.
That's still a lot of money to drop. Bleeeehhhh idk :/

Does anyone know if/when the (affordable) airbnb's will be all booked? When do you think the latest I could book one is?
I booked a great, affordable place in mid-May last year
This festival is definitely on the radar of a lot more people each year, so I wouldn't wait too far past the lineup drop if you're looking to be fairly close.

we booked an airbnb right after the lineup last year, and the once the host realized why we were coming, upped the price. there's a pretty large selection though

did they up the price after you booked? I just booked and mentioned I was going to Osheaga in the message do you think they will deny me and up the price? They haven't responded so I'm a tad worried haha.

yeah after we sent the original inquiry. we stayed in this over the top loft though haha. it's early enough and there's plenty of options, you should be fine!
