I think it's a little too soon for any info on this. But August is way off on the lineup dropping, it'll probably come in May. I think it came last week of June last year, and the only reason for the delay was Metallica dropped out of being the 2nd headliner at the last minute (I think that's I remember people were saying, don't quote me on that).

Haha I know - was just making a (bad) joke due to last year's late drop

Gonna guess Kanye is one since it's his turn. If they were actually close to Metallica last year I could see them going after Radiohead or Coldplay this year for Sunday night
he/they '12 - Firefly '13 - Firefly, Made In America '14 - Firefly, Made In America '15 - Mountain Jam (Sunday), Firefly, Pitchfork, Made In America '16 - Boston Calling, Firefly, Osheaga, Made In America, Roots Picnic NYC '17 - Boston Calling, Gov Ball, Firefly (Sunday), Pitchfork, Day For Night '18 - Boston Calling, Mountain Jam, Osheaga '19 - Form, Firefly (Sunday) '22 - Boston Calling, Firefly '24 - Solid Sound, Soundside
im not a Coldplay fan so im good with that. Hope they do bring back a rock headliner, Philly has so many indy rock bands out there right now so its still a big draw.
Rihanna plays Wells Fargo in April . So she could probably headline this. Given the TIDAL affiliation I'm expecting her to be on the top of the list of considerations.

I meant that even though Rihanna has a show in the area in April, she should still be fine for headlining this since it was fine for Kanye 2 years ago.
Yeah I remember reading that Govball will be Kanye's only US festival this year. But if it is indeed an exclusive I'm surprised Govball hasnt been promoting this fact. Would make an even bigger draw.

so this a super optimistic shot in the dark, because I REALLY want to like this festival, but the crowds their SUCK so bad, and the organization is beyond dumpster fire status.
Nicki Minaj - Arcade Fire Tame Impala - Jack U - A$AP Rocky - Disclosure Weezer - Panic! At The Disco - Travi$ Scott - Fetty Wap - Young Thug The Chainsmokers - Robin Schulz - Alessia Cara - Sean Mendes - Halsey - Cyprus Hill - Bryson Tiller - Dawin
I don't even like that lineup that much, I just like the idea of Nicki and Arcade Fire. I just really want this festival to not totally blow. I would kill for it to be 21+, but that will NEVER happen.

Nicki, Arcade Fire and Tame Impala would definitely get me there. Hell, just Arcade Fire would get me there haha.
Weezer is one of my favorite bands, but they are doing that huge tour with Panic (yuck) this summer and I'd be shocked if it isn't already hitting the Philly area.
I feel like the only act we can really lock in at this point is Vince Staples. Seems like he's playing every fest known to man this year - would be shocked if he isn't on the bill
yea Weezer and Panic are playing Philly in March. Guess that doesnt really rule them out but it seems to be a summer long tour so I would say doubtful. Arcade Fire alone would get me there for a day but I pray they get LCD Soundsystem or GnR but both a prob unrealstic especially the former.

The biggest problem with this festival, besides the crowd, is that they put the two biggest stages right next to each other. The crowd never splits up so it's basically 50k people on top of each other all day. If you go to any of the smaller stages there will be like 16 people there. I went last year cause the presale was $60 and regretted that.
Logistics have always been an issue, but I have an odd feeling that they'll deliver a very strong lineup this year. Surprised there isn't any info out there (that we know of, at least)

They've never announced early in prior years, so I wouldn't expect an announcement until May at the soonest. Easiest speculation at this point is to look at gaps in tour dates.
