You would also have to assume that if Will was actually going to go on a tour it would end up at a festival like Coachella or Bonnaroo before MIA.
Assuming no one has any inside info as far as when this lineup will be released? I know its usually end of May, beginning of June.
I have gone every year since 2013 and, despite some rough crowds and extreme dust, have had a great time. Although I will never live down not knowing about the festival back in 2012. I am a very big EDM fan and in general that lineup probably could never be topped by this festival again.
Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief
interesting. i know hes everywhere this year but hes at the Roots picnic in 2 weeks here but i guess where hes billed and a few months apart it would make sense

The Weeknd was at both last year, so not that big of a stretch.
I don't know why I keep checking this thread. No way this fest will appeal to my tastes anymore. They sure do take their time announcing this. We're going to be less than 3 months out soon. Based on what anyone has heard, will there be absolutely NO indie/alt-type acts?
Wouldn't expect any lineup news regarding MIA until the end of June. They announced last year's lineup on June 24th - would anticipate the lineup to dropping around the same time this year.
I know they sold out last year and even expanded capacity but they also sold probably a third of their tickets at under $65 for the weekend. Early bird presales are $112 plus ridiculous TM fees. It will be interesting to see if they can keep the large crowd at a much higher overall price point.

No way did a third of the mostly high school and college students attending know to take advantage of the Tidal presale (that only existed last year).
Tickets went live before it was announced and anyone eager would grab one, and even more bought tickets far beyond $112 once Beyonce was announced.
Pre-sale has always been $99+ fees; $13 dollars isn't stopping too many people

it wasn't just tidal presale that got that deal, it was also a discount for the people who attended in 2014, trying to bring them back as loyalty program. so yea, that was mostly high schoolers and college students.

Even at $179 (which was the final price last year for two days passes) it will sell out with Rihanna and Calvin Harris as headliners. While maintaining the bullshit overcapacity of 70K attendees.
Not expecting this fest to have anything I'm interested in so don't really care. Must be having a hard time locking down a lineup if they're waiting this long to announce.

Agree on the lineup but I don't think this fests horrible promo has anything to do with locking down a lineup. Hell, it's not even "late" for another nine days as it was officially released 6/24 last year.

They might have to wait until after Firefly to announce some people who are going to be there? Either way this festival never seems to be worth it.
