Cowboys should be trying to get a Sherman deal done before the draft so they can focus on pass rush
Do they still have a surplus of quality offensive linemen? That would seem to be a good bargaining chip in trade talks.
No, Leary is gone and Free retired so that's not as deep as last year. It'd be picks more than likely but Dallas really needs a veteran in the secondary after losing everyone except Jones

Who's ready for the draft?
I would love if Thomas or Allen would fall to 9 for the Bengals, but I am not holding my breath. Foster is the most talented LB in the draft, but not sure if I want the baggage that comes with him. The TE from Bama is pretty interesting.

I'm ready for it. As a Redskins fan, this is usually the biggest day of the year for us.
Hoping Foster falls to the Skins. Would also like Dalvin Cook or best DL/S available.
Desperately hoping that the Bills can drop back out of pick ten. There are so many options that work for them and more picks would be better.
I've spent a lot of time doing mock draft simulations at www.first-pick.com and usually one of their five likeliest targets can be had in the mid twenties.

I do like our first round draft pick this year, Brandin Cooks is a stud.

Glad the Bucs don't have to try and cover him twice a year now. Can't wait for that Thursday night home game against NE!
Patiently waiting to see how the board falls prior to pick 8.
Not buying into the hype that they'll trade up to #2?
Gettleman has done crazier things, but it just doesn't make sense to me. If anything, I'd expect them to trade later picks to get back in before 30, but to trade up for LF in a draft this deep at RB seems improbable.

I think so too, but my husband seems pretty pumped about the possibility. I guess the guy they're after is quite the beast.
i just want to know where Deshaun Watson is going. All this talk from anywhere between 3 and 28 is crazy. Can't wait to see where he's going. I hope it's not too early, because I don't want to see him play for a bad team.

No, I'm glad they're stupid enough to pick Trubisky over him.

That's such a legit pickup for the Pats. As a Tom Brady owner in a dynasty league, I approve.
Cooks was good. Many people feel like we have much better in Michael Thomas. I'm not ready to say that yet, because one season isn't enough to make that kind of determination. But having watched Cooks the last 3 years since we drafted him, I still hated to lose him. That #32 will help, and hopefully if we would have really been interested in Butler, it would have been Butler plus a 3rd for Cooks and a 4th. Since we may or may not be enamored with Butler anymore, we either have two picks in the first or trade bait up or down.
Best thing about Cooks is that he can beat giant defenders to the ball based on his lightning speed and his ability to get underneath a pass. Obviously having the accuracy of Drew Brees helped. But Brady is right there too. He's going to be a great weapon for the Patriots.
But fuck him for now unless he ends up on one of my fantasy teams.

If we can somehow land John Ross at 32, I'd say it might work out alright for us. Like you mentioned, Michael Thomas slowly became our #1 last season but it was only one year. I'm going to miss Cooks dearly. As soon as they take away one of our guys' signature touchdown move, he soon gets traded away (Graham's dunk; Cooks' bow and arrow). But Ross is the fastest combine runner in the history of the NFL. I'm sure that could translate into some explosive plays next season. And with the one two punch of Ingram and AP, the running game is shaping up pretty nicely, as well.
If we can somehow still get Butler for the 32, which is less and less likely now, that would be ideal. Then we could go edge rusher with 11, Malcolm Butler for the 32, and maybe somehow still land Ross with the 42nd pick. Or we go CB at 11, Ross at 32, and edge rusher at 42.

There was a discussion yesterday about how Derek Barnett, Alvin Kamara and Josh Dobbs are all sure bets to get drafted this year. I was really surprised to hear the idea that Kamara will go before Barnett. Don't get me wrong. I feel like Kamara will be successful in the NFL due to his versatility, but Barnett seems like the obvious better player. Also, I can't believe Dobbs is getting draft hype.

I want him. A bunch of mocks I've seen have the Texans taking him or Cam Robinson, I think if either of them fall to us we'd be crazy not to take them.

Well Watson did go 12th overall, but surprisingly not the Browns
Way to go Sang, his career won't go to shit
It's a good spot for him. Playoff team with a star wr that also played for Clemson. I'm a Texas fan now. The Bears and Browns fucked up and I'm not sure why the Chiefs did what they did? I'm interested in Mccaffery in Carolina. That could be good.

The talk of Josh Dobbs going in Round Two (and the hype over maybe being a Round one guy) makes me think too many NFL guys don't watch college football or pay attention to their college scouts advice.

They totally don't. Seems like it's all based on the workouts, how they look in shorts. It's all potential and pretty much ignoring results.
