Rooms in Indio itself have gone waaay up in the last week, but you can still find hotels in Palm Springs for under $400 total for Thurs-Monday. I doubt they'll stay this low much longer.
Where did you find that from? If there is indeed an undercard then I can imagine Goldenvoice tapping some bands from Panorama/Coachella to open for this fest. The National, Sufjan Stevens, Arcade Fire. I'll go ahead and throw in Bon Iver while I'm still dreaming. If that were the case I would die.

I don't know if this has been said before but with all these legends passing this event really doesn't seem like a bad idea. There won't be another chance to see these legends in one location and who knows how long they'll be touring. But for someone going into college funding this cross country trip is just not likely for me. I really hope this is appreciated and lives up to all the hype.
