Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Any idea when the schedule comes out for this thing? Considering making the trip..
Few other quick questions if someone wants to humor me, I'd love a comparison to Roo in regards to crowd, logistics, and how Thursday stacks up (considering coming in Fri or Sat AM)
Schedule will probably be early/mid October.
Hulaween is capped at 20k, so its less people, the stage area is smaller, but you don't really feel the effects of the crowd, my first year, 2015, they didn't have a cap and there have been talks it was 25-30k, and it was considerably more full, but still under a 75k bonnaroo.
Thursday is a separate pre-party, haven't attended yet, but it looks fun and helps you get a better camping spot.
One main thing to remember, based on your possible arrival time, is that Hulaween camping is first come, first serve. The park is massive and has areas similar to bonnaroo, where you park in the field and set up everything, and then there are areas where you can get into the woods and set up. Its totally up to you and a bit daunting your first time. For this reason, I would suggest getting there as early as you can Friday, or even doing Thursday if you can. Arriving during the day is imperative as its confusing navigating through the park already, I couldn't imagine dealing with it at night.
Upgraded camping includes water and power, and obviously reserves a spot for you, that's up to you if those things are important. In the past I've used outlets on some of the buildings around and had no trouble keeping things charged as needed.

That was as super helpful post bud - thank you so much! I may have more if we decide to go here in the next couple weeks! I'm 100% in if they drop a few more acts like Portugal the man and Ween (more mainstream altrock). Beautiful lineup already though.
Damian Marley, Mike Gordon, Lotus, David Shaw, Noname, Goldfish, The New Mastersounds, Dimond Saints, Perpetual Groove, Probcause, Roosevelt Collier Trio, Andy Frasco & the U.N, Frameworks, Heavy Pets, Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, Yellowhammer, Stokeswood, Voodoo Visionary, Jaden Carlson Band, Beebs, Scholars Word, Parker Urban Band, Universal Green, Earphonik
Pre-party additons include Luthi, SoDown, Evanoff, Psychedelic Monks, and Yamadeo and TWO sets by Umphrey's McGee.
Lotus and noname would be cool, but this is too close to III Points for me to attend.
I love Lotus and New Mastersounds. Perpetual Groove, Probcause and Roosevelt Collier Trio will all be good. 2 sets of UM is fn great too. Good adds by Hulaween.
Hey guys, I know this is a shot in the dark, but is anybody on here or anybody that you may know selling a GA Car Camping Pass? I'm in serious need of one and I'm willing to pay twice the amount it's worth...So if anybody can help me out, you will be a life saver!

Idk if you found one, but apparently they are announcing more here soon. If those become available in the next week or so my friend and I are making the trip for our first Hula

Thanks...keep us posted.
Thanks guys! I actually found one! And I really hope people can get there hands on a pass...It sucks not having one!
I honestly can't wait for this tho! It's my first year going to hula as well, and the excitement is for real! I've been wanting to go for years, but cards were never on the table. Luckily this year the stars aligned! I'll see you all there
You can't go wrong on either side of lots of the conflicts. Missing imho are Perpetual Groove (if you like jam), New Mastersounds for late night party jazz, Russ Liquid Test (future jam), Lettuce, Aqueous (jam band from Buffalo), Disco Biscuits and Spafford are all top notch acts. I remember digging Displace from Tampa when I saw them (Pass the Good 14??). ProbCause is a decent rapper (lsd with Chance). Future Rock is pretty cool live as well.
For Sunday, Tauk is one of my favorite up and coming acts. They're good across the board. Keys n Krates is a pretty cool beats trio out of Canada. You know them from Keep it 100 with Grandtheft and dum de dum.
Lots of good shit. Hula is always pretty wall to wall and lots of conflicts where you can't go wrong.
I was thinking the same thing about PTM. It's weird their coming from a late night bonnaroo set to playing 4:30 in the afternoon...Especially after their album blew up, you'd think they'd at least play at night.... Swap them with Moon Taxi.

If it helps at all, RTJ has a habit of front-loading their sets. The set for this leg of the tour is revamped according to El on twitter, but I'd imagine it's largely the same formula still.
I hate this RTJ/Disco Biscuits conflict so much. These are 2 of the 3 I wanted to see most. I had a gut feeling this would happen.
Yeah, that's one of the worst ones of all. I've only been to Suwannee in a smaller festival capacity, and the stages were all within a few minutes walk of each other making sets easy enough to split if you wanted to. In this case, Sober Goat [tm] will most likely be filming because he pretty much sees all jam that comes to Florida, videos and puts on his YouTube channel. So likely he will film and post Lotus. You might want to hit him up on a message on his YouTube channel to see what his plans are for that conflict or if he's going to film. If so, you can go to RTJ and just watch Lotus later on when you get home. It's tough either way. Lotus is my favorite band of today, and RTJ (seeing again tomorrow) is always a hyped up fun show.

wellllllll, he's talking about rtj and DISCO BISCUITS...
As someone who has only been to Suwannee for the last few Auras, how far apart are the stages? Is it realistic to split sets, or should I just pick one if one is meadow and the other not the amphitheater? I know how close those are to each other. Also, where is the patch?
