I was having a lot of fun at deadmau5's set at Music Midtown, until I realized I wasn't actually at a festival, I was just standing in a big field with a really loud metronome fifty feet away from me.

I'd love to see deadmau5 and Marshmello play basketball. Hell, deadmau5 might even win. He's gotta be talented at something, because it's definitely not music.

I don't know much about Marshmello/dotcom (the actual dude), but I would think anyone with any sense of athleticism and general ability would school Deadmau5/Joel Zimmerman. That dude is 100 pounds soaking wet, a chain-smoker, and probably about 5'8" tall. And I'd also doubt he has ever done more than lackadaisically toss a basketball in the general direction of a hoop, if even that.
Probably just anti-jinx'd Shovels & Rope. They just announced a spring tour that hits everywhere in the Southeast but Georgia. It ends in April but they could easily make it down to ATL to play this fest since they're from South Carolina.
Hurray For The Riff Raff announced a tour that has them in Nashville. Birmingham and New Orleans the first week of May. Seems reasonable to think they'd show up to this.
BTW where's the Phoenix rumors coming from? Haven't been following.
Somebody with an inside source. Would Phoenix possibly be 4th?
Bankrupt! didn't sell nearly as well as their breakout album so it wouldn't be all that surprising to me. Then again I'm not sure if they could afford that if the Metallica and LCD rumors are true because they both seem significantly bigger than most of the past headliners.
Edit: Disregard this. Totally ignored the "somebody with an inside source" part. Whoops

Perfectly fine if they get Metallica and LCD. I was only upset over Metallica because I assumed it meant that they would have to forego getting another big headliner like LCD. But that would be great if this lineup starts with Metallica - LCD I'd be perfectly happy, not only because I can skip Metallica and go to the smaller headliner, but also because it'll prove this festival could handle a headliner of any size, and maybe we can get Radiohead in a couple years.
We'll definitely have a HUGE drop in the undercard if that's the case though. I'd rather just get LCD - Bon Iver - Phoenix, but Metallica will draw in more people.
