I'll lose my shit if Wolf Parade plays. That was my first indie band I listened to back in 9th grade, been wanting to see them live for 4 years, especially at my favorite festival. And it looks like it was taken down on their site.

My biggest hope is for Arcade Fire. Would also love to see Fleet Foxes and/or Bon Iver. Arcade Fire - Phoenix - Fleet Foxes/or Bon Iver would be amazing headliners. Hope that Metallica doesn't end up as one of the headliners. Wish they would stay a mostly indie rock fest, because the lineups have been great minus last year's.

I really don't want Metallica to be playing this... But at this point, I think denying it could be the "the 1975 will never play this festival" of this year. Fuck. So last year we got some more overlap with Rock on the Range. Who else could also be playing this?

Did you really just compare Metallica to The 1975?

No? Last year the 1975's tour dates gave it away that they'd be playing this festival, and people on this board still said "no way they'll EVER play Shaky!" and then they ended up with a headlining set. And at this point I think that denying that Metallica will be one of our headliners would be doing the same thing.

Hangout just dropped too - I'll be happy if we can grab some of the good undercard acts from that. Awesome knowing that Sigur Ros will be in Alabama the weekend after this.
2017: 2/24 Twenty One Pilots 4/1 Radiohead 6/7 Glass Animals 9/10 Modest Mouse 9/21 Arcade Fire 9/29 Kings of Leon 10/3 Foster the People 10/17 The xx 10/22 LCD Soundsystem 11/8 Bon Iver
I don't remember why Metallica started popping up, and I agree it would be an odd choice for SK, and I understand a lot of people in this thread wouldn't be too excited about it, but come on, it's Metallica. Metallica is awesome.

I think it started with Shaky Knees' Facebook posting about Metallica.
And count me firmly in the camp of those who would like to see this happen.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
As much as I would love Sigur to get a full, w hour headline slot, I don't expect it and would love for them to get the slot that Ride had in 2015, right before watching Bon Iver close the festival. Orrrrr, they could just put Sigur in the ATDI slot from last year and have em oppose a headliner, though, with the rumored headliners, I would be bummed if I had to make that choice.
