This one is definitely on my radar. I was going to try and avoid camping festivals next year, but there's a new airline in town that can fly me down to FLA pretty cheap. With a decent lineup I should be able to drag a few friends along with me

This fest is tits. Its at the perfect time of year. The hottest it got all weekend was a breezy 85. It sat in the 70s for most of the day and dropped into the 60s past midnight. On Friday it even dropped into the 50s.
Showers are hot and well pressured, with reasonable lines unless you go right as the showers are opened. Vendors EVERYWHERE offering EVERYTHING imaginable. There is shade in basically all of the campgrounds. Extremely well laid out with easy-to follow paths.
Oh, and the main venues are located at the center of the festival, unlike Centeroo which is kindve in a corner. The farthest possible walk to the main stages is 10-15 minutes.
All in on this. Got a group going to make the drive down from Baltimore. Actually, probably going to make a whole trip of it and make some stops in Atlanta on the way down and Miami on the way back. Hell yea.
Talked to some girls at roo before Miguel that had all met at this last year and said they had a blast. Considering putting it on the calendar. Interested to see if there is more alternative/indi rock there this year.
Giving this a little bump up. I'm thinking dates are released at the end of this month/beginning of September and a first wave right after ACL to dominate what should be a quiet time for festival news.
Drake - Arcade Fire - Lana del Rey - Pretty Lights w/ Band Kygo - Chance - The National - Flume - HAIM
Then bonnaroo books the majority of these same people for 3 months later...
RHCP - Tool - LCD Soundsystem - Chance The Rapper - Beck - Alt J - Major Lazer - Pretty Lights - A$AP Rocky - Willie Nelson
Replace Tool with Arcade Fire for my own personal tastes and that's a dope mock.
Do you think LCD would play in Florida again so soon after playing III Points this fall? I have no idea what to expect from them as far as touring goes next year.

This is good but far too rock heavy. 5 of the top 6 headliners are rock or alternative, last year only 2 were.
Also - I just don't know if Tool is a great draw for the big festivals anymore (I'm 24 and consider myself a pretty big alt-rock fan and I can maybe name like 1 Tool song).

I'd have to disagree with you on that. I have a bunch of diehard Suwannee fans who go to every festival there and they all jumped ship to Voodoo once they saw that Tool was playing. I'm 21 and have never went out of my way to listen to them and I know at least 7 or 8 songs.

Yea I think either RHCP or Arcade Fire is a sure bet for the top rock act. I think RHCP makes too much sense for this demographic. Not sure how Mumford fared, I would think they are probably a little too soft for this festival. At least as the top rock act/headliner.
I didn't include him but I could definitely see G eazy doing this. Also I avoided the chainsmokers but they are probably a lock as well.
I forgot how EDM top heavy the lineup was last year. Same with Rap. Even then it still had a good bit of diversity. Hit almost every genre point somewhere. Hope they do the same this time.
The Festive Owl is hinting at big things for this festival. Seems like he is saying great lineup and better things for the overall experience. If this fest improves from the already great things I've already heard about this it could make for a great choice for next year because Coachella is looking a little shaky for me

Fuck I'm excited. I was already optimistic going into this year and this just reinforces that.
