Okeechobee rep on Reddit confirmed next Thursday release after EDCO. You can bank on Bassnectar at this point.
The guy says he promotes for Okeechobee which myself and a few others in this thread also do. We haven't been told anything besides what's been released to the public.
Is a guy who was 21st on the Firefly lineup last year capable of holding up a mid-major festival announcement because he is playing a smaller, genre specific fest?

Probably not. The delay is for Axwell, The Chainsmokers, or Nectar.

I really wouldn't mind Bassnectar as the top EDM act if he didn't bring the crowd he does. If Okee was that uninspired to book him again might as well just make him the house DJ every year and call it Electric Forest South.

Electric Forest South with Mumford and Sons headlining!

I'm commenting off the rumors. If they really booked Dead and Co and Bassnectar again along with Porter, Snails, Getter etc Sprinkle in some Lumineers for the "folk" (Edward Sharpe played EF last year) Plus the small crowds for anything not EDM/Rap last year. (Lil Dickies crowd was as big if not bigger then Mumfords was) you can make a case. I just feel they're going more a EF/Hula direction then Bonnaroo hence why Paul is gone
There is almost no chance they booked Dead and Company. Mayer will likely be touring his solo stuff at this time so they probably will not tour until summer and they are way too pricey for this fest.
Edit: If they did, I will be there no matter what. I'm not against it. Just not likely from what has been rumored in the Deadhead world.

Dead and Co would be cool as they never stopped in Florida on their last tour. The Mumford booking was similar last year with them only playing in Florida once and it being northern Florida not south.
But it's really not. I walked up to Mumford a couple songs in and got in front of the soundboard with plenty of space. Little Dicky was almost backed up to the main entrance. Odesza and Kill the Noise in the same slot also had ridiculous crowds. I know they're different stages so it's a weird comparison but even Mac Miller at the same stage had the same size crowd at a 4pm slot

Lil Dicky and Mac Miller did not play the same stage. Lil Dicky didn't even have the biggest crowd during his time slot, Robert Plant did.

Sorry I worded it wrong I meant Mac Miller was on the main with Mumford while the others were not. We saw Robert Plant and he conflicted with X Ambassadors and Niykee Hilton... Lil Dicky was a slight conflict and started 15 minutes before Plant finished. We may have had different experiences but I walked up pretty close for Plant right after he played "Black Dog" and then on the way out walked past Dicky and remembering I couldn't believe how massive the crowd was
Yeah we left Plant early to get there right at Dicky's start time and it was one of the biggest crowds of the weekend for us. Dicky, Odesza and Bassnectar were the only shows I wasn't able to get as close as I wanted to at.
I had just seen Plant at Roo and Lil Dicky was one of my favs at the moment. Seeing him live was really disappointing though. Left early to go see Hall and Oates and that was an awesome show. Okee was great this year.
