Okeechobee rep on Reddit confirmed next Thursday release after EDCO. You can bank on Bassnectar at this point.
The guy says he promotes for Okeechobee which myself and a few others in this thread also do. We haven't been told anything besides what's been released to the public.
I stand corrected. Nice scoopz. Was this the same guy that was saying nectar and Dead & Co?

I'm thinking the Nectar/Dead and Co. part of it was false, wherever that came from.

I wonder if Flume or some of the other artists will travel Friday to Sunday or vise versa from McDowell Mountain Festival in Arizona that same weekend.

Not sure it was a scoop. The date seemed pretty obvious once we didn't get it in October

Got this reaction from a self proclaimed okeechobee promoter. Looking at portalmans past posts on Reddit he discusses promoting at hula, the art that will be featured at okeechobee 2017, and he's the promoter that might have slipped winking at an okeechobeing questioning Bassnectar/Dead&Co at hulaween. So assuming we can trust his word over most on a public forum, what do you guys think about his reaction to the dirt I laid out on Reddit about the Stones?!
Arcade Fire - Tame Impala - Chance The Rapper - The Chainsmokers - The Lumineers - Flume
That is a major step down from last year. Especially from a festival that boasts being serious competition with the major festivals. Most of the artists aren't bad but Arcade Fire is the only actual headliner of those. Tame and Chance are borderline but last year they had actual headliners and some borderline artists
I see your point but I wouldn't call it a "major step down." It's probably not even the right Top 6 but Mumford and Sons, Kendrick, Skrillex, Bassnectar, Plant (obviously Plant is Plant), Odesza isn't that high of a bar to begin with except considering it's a mid-level fest. Im not making a value judgment on the acts themselves. And theoretically you could say yeah, Kendrick is bigger than Chance and x is bigger than Y. And Kendrick and Mumford have been top 3 for other fests. But in my opinion, it's probably not the right Top 6 anyway. It's not probably as big of a difference regardless. We aren't talking Tool/Weeknd/Arcade*, Radiohead/Chili Peppers/LCD or Pearl Jam/Dead and Co/LCD or LCD/Guns N Roses/Calvin or Neil Young/Stevie Wonder/Pearl Jam/Paul Simon/Steely Dan or whatever. Those are what some major fests brought this year so I also wouldn't say Okee is trying to compete with major fests. It's middle. And that's fine.
Yeah, this lineup release is going to be interesting. I have no idea what my expectations should be. I agree, it feels like one headliner is missing. Arcade Fire is a Sunday headliner. Tame and Chance can work as a dual Friday headliner pairing. Killers is definitely a possibility as said above. Maybe Lana is an option? Can't really think of other.

Edit: Actually could The Strokes be in play?
The Strokes doesn't feel like a fit to me. I think the other headliner (assuming there is one) has to be a bit more radio friendly or perhaps a legend act.
Fri- Tame Impala/Chance the Rapper Sat - The Killers Sun- Arcade Fire
Wow, they still plan to do multiple waves this year. Means we might not be getting every headliner on Thursday. Also probably means that we are going to have to wait for the Coachella drop for certain acts.
