headliners are pretty bottom of the barrel. upgrading bassnectar for no real reason is abysmal. the rest is ok but pretty uninspired.
Yeah, I'm not super wild about KoL, but there are some fucking awesome party and jam acts on that. Plus Pretty Lights is almost always great (dependin gon frame of mind), and Bassnectar - while not really my scene - is usually pretty entertaining.
Regardless, I went ahead and bought a 4 day for $290 and change. I'm sure someone will give me $350 for that in a few months when it sells out. I'm not a scalper, but sometimes the handwriting is on the wall. Yutes will love this lineup.

Not sure if it matters, but nowhere on the announcement, poster, or video is First Wave referenced or future waves. Just the generic 'and many more' tag line.

i like bassnectars music, but the crowd he attracts is horrific, especially with a headlining set. i would go if it was within a couple hour drive, but not worth it at all coming from philly for me. even if chance is added.

Maybe I'm answering my own question, but the 4 Day Early Bird Tix mention entry to Sunshine Grove at 12 PM on Thursday. Was that part of the extra day last year?
The price difference between 3 Day and 4 Day passes seems similar to last year.

Agreed. I'm not driving, but since I have a ticket now, I guess I have the option of going if I want to. That's a crazy f'n week though because Mardi Gras is on February 28th. I'd barely be recovered to blow out of town Wednesday night. hahaha - self-destruction

No, I was there and set up by 2pm Thursday last year but we weren't allowed into the stage areas until Friday at noon. Only to the beach

Trying to think who could be on future phases besides Chance and Tame Imapala... Just want to get my hopes up again for when they announce The Chainsmokers as another headliner.

If there is a silver lining I was tempted to buy VIP before, now there's no way I'm wasting my money for that. This will be a relaxing fest. I'll be coming in for like 3 acts a day in the late afternoon and early evening and then likely drink my face off the rest of the night. Can I bring a blow up float and pass out in the river? I think I'll be that guy.
