according to reddit, if you go on the Okeechobee app KOL are the only act actually listed as a headliner. High level additions (Chance and Tame?) definitely still feel possible.
That's on the basis of KoL having a bigger picture in the app than anyone else. I'm not sure I'd hold out any hopes for that meaning anything. Either way, I definitely think there will be some solid additions. Looking back at the first wave of last year, it really wasn't any different than this year. Mumford-Kendrick-Skrillex compared to KoL - Usher+Roots - Bassnectar. It looks bad because of KoL, I mean does anyone really care between Nectar/Skrillex? The Nectar fans make it less appealing I guess.
i know its not concrete, but it is something. Usher and The Roots could be a HLer, and I dont see them getting an act higher than KOL, but I think having Chance or Tame In the two spot and bumping nectar down from top 3 feels realistic.

Oh there's no way bassnectar will end up #3. I can't imagine that.

Oh well. No Tame. I'm just going to look at anything added that I actually like as a bonus. The undercard on this is fine. They just took two giant dumps with KoL and Bassnectar (if he is the third headliner).

Willie Nelson was announced for the Strawberry Fest two hours north of Okeechobee. He plays the Friday of Okeechobee. I can see him and Steve Miller or him and Duran Duran being the Robert Plant/Hall & Oates of last year

I'm excited to see what legend/classic acts they pull. I'd take anything that Mountain Jam got. Steve Miller would be dope.

Steve Miller Band/Lynard Skynard/The doobie Brothers/ ZZ Top/ John Fogerty... please any one of these will satisfy me
Nothings confirmed I'm not getting my hopes up just relaying Info. Also wouldn't expect three waves or large artist announcements. Looks like they'll be adding artists one at a time as they are booked/allowed to be.

Oh I wasn't doubting you or being snarky at the info. More regarding the article or the band who in the interview straight up said they were taking a hiatus after the February gig. Its literally a month later. Their hiatus is shorter than most bands time between continents.

Yeah it is strange... Could be the guy just having fun with us but hopefully it comes to fruition with them playing just a one off and not mentioning or forgetting in the article and then they go record a new album and disappear for a year or two.
They did say "phase 1" I guess that's even too optimistic apparently.
They might do a few at a time but from the call he said "This year is completely different and artists won't be announced the way they were last year." Then a question about if the artists will be similar in size as far as last years waves and he gave the typical avoiding the question answer of "That's personal taste some people think KOL was the best booking some think George Clinton was. That's on your opinion."

That's what's sad, I'd take George Clinton over KoL all day.

Other news is the capacity cap will stay similar. He said they sold 32.5k with a large majority of the sales happening very close to the festival. With them knowing this maybe 35k. Last bit of useful info is they're looking to have a trolley service at the campgrounds. That holds 50 plus people to bring them to the fest entrance/the village. $30 bucks all weekend pass or something similar

They're also adding 2 stages
Oops that too. They already had one last year that was kind of unofficial and under the radar that was in the village that played heavy bassfueled. My friend actually played it. Any mention where the other is? If it's in the grove I can see a lot of soundbleed problems

Anybody got a mock? Personally I dig KOL, but their new album was a let down. I'm also shocked their number one here....Mumford is definitely bigger than KOL today. Not crazy about the rap here either, but love most of it. I mean for a fest in Florida, a state known to party...this is going to get a sizable crowd.

They brought Bassnectar back for a reason. He's not going to be demoted over Chance or Tame(as incredible as they are live).

One in the Chobee Wobee village, and I don't think it was specified where the other would be.
A couple of there recent social media posts have included "don't say we didn't warn you" and now they just tweeted that Dec 5th is the end of early bird. Wonder if we can expect a few additions next week ?
