It looks pretty well run. Has there been any word on early bird tickets and so on?
I might have to look into going next year. The dates are pretty sweet for this, as the spring break airline price hike doesn't start until the week after.

Sorry to dash everybody's dreams, but Radiohead will not be playing at Okee next year. Just got word that they attempted to book them, but it didn't work out.

Not to try and make you say something you can't but does it have anything to do with another festival booking them for 2017 that has a contractual priority announcement, or did it just not pan out for one reason or another?

I didn't bother to press further with this one (didn't think of this at the moment), so I don't know.

Sauce?
It's a source that is involved with their booking. Can't say much else. The only thing I can say is that many of the artists that they're trying to get are still in pending status.
The pending status probably has to do with Coachella. Last year the only artist that played fests was Kamasi Washington.
Not sure how I feel about that. There are A LOT of artists I can picture Coachella booking that I want to see at Okee. (Local Natives... got them California ties new album coming out).
Gotta give an A+ to branding/marketting to Okeechobee which explains the suppose "soldout" claim. -Did this actually sellout? -Can you legally claim "soldout" if it didn't actually sellout?

I don't think any law exists that says you can't do that haha. They came no where near close to selling out. But by saying they did it created a bit more hype, made it sound like a hotter ticket than it really is. Anything to give them a leg up. Festivals in Florida generally don't do well; but I think in a time when festivals are all becoming very similar; Okeechobee stands out as a unique experience. I hope they do well and grow.

Check out this sold crowd for LCD at T in the Park in Scotland!
1) This is the most depressing festival image ever this year ^^^ 2) Yeah I didn't think it was illegal but, on the other hand, it is Florida, and America where any lawsuit dream can come true. 3) I'm more and more thinking of making Okeechobee a definite for 2017

Sold out or not they did enough to get me and my friends to go next year. I think Launchpad is right, most festivals now are so similar this festival actually offers something different (East Coast/camping/spring/beach). I anxiously wait to check it out.
