I don't know if this is a thing that Inforooers usually do post-Bonnaroo, but I think it'd be cool to see what everyone's top experiences were this year at the farm. Just list them out with short explanations of why each set was special.

1. LCD Soundsystem (pit): no explanation needed 2. Father John Misty(rail of pit): pleasant suprise with the high energy and glorious sarcasm 3. Vulfpeck: non stop dance party 4. Pearl Jam: was far back but as a casual fan I loved the emphasis on Ten and Vitalogy 5. Kamasi Washington: also no explanation needed HM: Lizzo, Leon Bridges, Grandma Sparrow, Cymande, Allen Stone, Vince Staples
I don't know how I'd compare an experience like being second row for Tyler the Creator to dancing in the back of the What Feild for Dead & Company so in no particular order.
LCD Soundsystem Tyler the Creator Bully FIDLAR Dead & Company
Also, I actually got pit for Macklemore like I said I would. I have a picture but I'm doing Clean Vibes so I can't upload it yet. I walked right in and it was so worth it. Basically did it just to be up front for when Chance came out but I ended up having soooo much fun. Dancing and jumping around at the very front with so much room was an awesome experience. Then Chance the Rapper actually came out, I was the only one yelling his whole verse. Then the show got cut off because of the lightning right after so I only was there for like 5 songs. But yeah special shouts out to Macklemore and the crowd in the pit who I didn't think would be my type of crowd but ended up being a lot of fun.
Also shouts out tp Death Cab For Cutie, Vince Staples, Lamb of God, Hinds, Tame Impala, and Band of Horses
1. LCD Soundsystem (pit) First time seeing them, and I was blown away. Made the decision late in the day to try pit with other inforooers, and I am so glad I did. This set just made me happy the entire time. So much fun.
2. Pearl Jam (pit) Love PJ. It was my 10th time seeing them. I was disappointed they didn't play longer, and it wasn't as good of a set as the two I was at in April, but I can't not have PJ up top. They always deliver. And singing happy birthday to his daughter was just so sweet.
3. Jason Isbell (pit) I am a Jason Isbell fangirl. He is probably my current favorite singer/songwriter. Well, besides my man Ryan. I got in the pit for the shade, and I am pretty sure I sang along to every single song. Sorry, not sorry.
4. Kamasi Washington - Wasn't feeling great when this set started, so I sat on ADA platform to rest. Which was great because I had a clear view. Thoroughly enjoyed this set. So many talented musicians on that stage. I loved him bringing his dad out.
5. Death Cab for Cutie - First time seeing them & I loved it. Pretty close to stage, in the shade, with my friends. It was perfect.
1. LCD (pit) 2. Death Cab (pit) 3. Lane 8 (silent disco) 4. Blood Orange 5. Hundred Waters 6. Con Brio 7. Grandma Sparrow 8. FIDLAR 9. Purity Ring (even though I only made about 40 mins of it, was just what I needed at the time) 10. Oh Wonder
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Disclaimer: For the second year in a row, I did not attend and watched the live stream and replays (attended from 2009-2014). So I know this doesn't really count in the same way, but I'll give my top 5 (and why) anyway. I'm sure if I had watched LCD and PJ, they would have made my top-5. But I didn't see them, and I didn't see many others I probably would have if I was on the farm. I ended up watching probably 15 or so shows, most in their entirety. Here is my top-5:
5. Bully - Watched (mostly just listened to) this entire set while at work. Really dug the grungy 90s sound. Very impressed.
4. Lizzo - Knew nothing about her before watching, which also was at work. Good thing headphones exist. And window minimizers. Thought she was an excellent performer from what I saw. Loved the dancers. Would have liked to have been at this one live.
3. Dead&Co (2nd set) - The only headliner I caught. I'm not a fan at all of the Dead, and I'm typically wiped when it comes to the Sunday shows like Phish and WP. But I very much enjoyed listening to this set. John Mayer was working the meedly mees on the guitar.
2. Macklemore - I guess the lightning cut this one a little short? Or maybe just caused the break in the set. It was a little weird watching the replay, and the end got cut short for me (dance off). But damn this one looked like a lot of fun!
1. Leon Bridges - Watched this one at home on the couch with my wife. Pretty sure the smooth sounds of sweet Leon set the mood just right, hence the top spot.

This has been tough for me. Been thinking bout it on the drive home.
1. SuperJam - Despite the horrendous Ring of Fire TEB catastrophe, every other song was fantastic. Allen Stone playing during the fireworks was my personal best ever Bonnaroo moment.
2. Dead & Company (Pit) - Great crowd energy. Mayer provides a spark you don't normally see in a band as old as this and of course they all shredded.
3. M83 (Pit) - Wow what a light show, better than Tame both visually and musically. I came in a quarter way through after Tyler dissapointed and somehow got pit after a bunch of people left for LCD.
4. Death Cab for Cutie - I showed up half way through because I checked out the surprise Miguel set at the disco tower. But when I did show up they amazed with string of older songs that I had close connections to.
5. FKJ (Rail) - The videos you see of this guy online playing 5 different instruments translates beautifully in a live setting. I am a sucker for good jamtronica and this guy flowed well back and forth and all in between.
Glad everyone enjoyed Lane 8, I was honestly shocked Roo booked him and Bob Moses after booking the rest of the appalling EDM lineup.
Oh my god Lane 8 was fantastic. I couldn't believe it. Such a long day Friday. I was beat down after Tame and went in and was so energized by the end of the set. Between that LCD, and Tame, I was just non-stop dancing for 5 straight hours.
I couldn't get anything on this all weekend. I'm glad it was memorable. Any other thoughts/comments on the set?
I was hoping since it was Thursday that someone would have uploaded some sh*t to YouTube by now, but nada. I'll have to check their page to see if they recorded any of it. Had I ended up going, I would have missed half of Papadosio which I thought was top 3 on the stream and who is also one of my favorite bands to catch the whole set.
You guys are really knocking the "why" portion out of the park here.
Some people are busy sleeping at their desk today.

A coworker came up to me about ten minutes ago to ask about my trip. The moment I started talking he says, "Whoa, you look and sound like shit. I really don't mean that offensively. But you do." Thanks, Rick. :\
Bob Moses - I was front and center for their show, fully drunk, and loving every second of it. Days Gone By is one of my favorite albums, and to hear it live at 1:30 in the morning was a magical experience. LCD - for obvious reasons Chvrches - I was in the pit, surrounded by happy, high energy people. It was a fun dance party, only made better by Hayley Williams Shamir - super awesome gay dance party Ibeyi - they were my first set on Friday, and they brought the energy and talent I needed to set me up for one of the best festival days I've ever had
1. LCD - I knew this was going to be my #1 going in and they didn't disappoint. The people around me were all super into it and sung along.
2. Tame impala - even though they ended 40 minutes short every second of this set was amazing. Leading with let it happen was everything I wanted and more. The light show was spectacular.
3. Pearl jam - I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan going in but they fucking rocked it. The comment about building a wall around trump was hilarious. Definitely made me a fan.
4. Dead and co - played all the songs I wanted to hear as a casual fan. Tennessee Jed was amazing.
5. Father John misty - big fan coming in and the energy he brought was fantastic. Definitely glad I stuck out the heat to see him.

I thought it was a really great set. They started with Murmurs and Out Alee and then played a lot of new, unreleased material that really grabbed my attention. I'd characterize the new songs as more dance-y, more pop-based, but not overly generic. (No idea what their plans are for a future album, but hoping these songs reappear.)
I think I'd read on here some concerns about their live performances, and I do think it took them a moment to get comfortable. (I'm guessing this is one of the larger shows they've played.) Either way, I have a feeling they'll make my top five. I find the lead singer's voice really enthralling.

My voice is a always a couple octaves lower for a week. That singing at the top of my lungs/breathing in dust/not sleeping speedballing always gets me.

1. LCD Soundsystem - Been waiting to see them ever since S/T came out and I bought the CD because the cover and band name looked cool. The sound at What was clean as hell, the song selection was great, James Murphy and the whole band, despite their professed tiredness and hungoveredness, were on point.
2. Dead & Company - went into this in another thread but I’ve been a fan of the Grateful Dead’s music for almost 20 years but have never seen any incarnation of the Dead live (except Phil & Friends one time). Weir is one of my all time favorite vocalists and finally seeing him live was awesome. Mayer was a lot of fun to watch live, he’s so animated. The whole band just looked like they were having a blast. Always a treat to see O’teil. Mickey Hart looks exactly like my father-in-law. I think they played a smart set, lot of heavy hitters and singles. Highlights were pretty much all of set 2. Was very happy to hear Wharf Rat. For those who don’t know, the original yellow balloon/sober fans group were a group of Deadheads that call themselves the Wharf Rats. The Wharf Rats birthed sober groups for other bands, like the Gateway for Panic and the Phellowship for Phish. It was these sober groups that inspired me to start seeing live music again after I got clean in 2005. Generally sober fans regardless of band affiliation are stilled called “Rats”. Anyway the jams were great, the playing was on point. I made it into the pit after Ween and it was just a hell of a lot of fun.
3. Ween - Ween is my #2 favorite band and this was my first time seeing them since they split. They all looked so happy and sounded great. If they had a longer set time this would have been #1. So great to hear The Stallion Pt. 3, one of my favorite Ween tracks. The Grobe is another personal favorite and another highlight. Got pit for this show too.
4. Jason Isbell - Whew! Easily the most teary-eyed I got at Roo this year. Been a fan of Isbell since the Trucker’s “Decoration Day”. I swear he’s the greatest songwriter of the past few years. If you haven’t heard “Southeastern” or “Something More Than Free” go listen to those records. It was so hot I almost considered skipping this for a tent show and I’m glad I didn’t. Highlights were “Cover Me Up” (the crowd went nuts for this one), “24 Frames”, “If It Takes A Lifetime”, “Codeine”, and of course “Never Gonna Change”.
5. Vulfpeck - Vulfpeck should play Bonnaroo every year, they are a perfect Bonnaroo band. Funky, danceable, but also completely silly. Was surprised at how many people showed up for the set and how many people were familiar with their material. The lineup drop was the first I’d heard of Vulfpeck, and I quickly worked through all their records. Was just a real happy time and a great way to kick off the weekend.
HM: Bully, Lane 8, Chris Stapleton, Nate Bargatze (comedian), Pearl Jam, Claypool/Lennon, Tame Impala, Kamasi Washington, Ibeyi, Waxahatchee
1.) M83 - Perfect timing for what ended up being a fantastic little journey. 2.) LCD Soundsystem - As more of a casual fan I was blown away by their set, sound, and energy. Losing My Edge was fantastic. 3.) RL Grime - Gave me a chance to fully go nuts after having to babysit some novice imbibers the night before. 4.) Tame Impala - What a sound. A little slow for my mood at the time but loved the set. 5.) Chris Stapleton - Dude can play, sing, and entertain a crowd.
HM: Hermitude, Big Grams, Bully, Andra Day, Beach Fossils, Haim, Kurt Vile

Top 5 - based mostly on my enjoyment level, not necessarily on their musical prowess (also my tastes typically lean towards house/electronic music)
1. LCD - I came into this with low expectations as I was not much of a fan of their recorded stuff. But seeing them live, wow. I can now say they've made a fan out of me. EDIT:Cant wait to see them again at Lolla 2. Lane 8 - Definitely the best DJ I saw this weekend. Had my group dancing till the sunrise after his silent disco performance. 3. Lizzo - the most fun I had at any show this weekend. The crowd vibes were on point and her backup dancers were the shit. Only wish I hadn't missed the beginning of her set by wasting it at BØRNS. 4. GRiZ's - Came into this a fan of him and after seeing his 4 appearances at Kalliope, his Which performance, the Superjam, and the surprise GA sunrise set at Pod 3, nothing has changed. 5. RL Grime - coming on the heels of the evacuation and Lamb of God (My first metal show/mosh pit) this was a perfect way to continue the heavy vibes.
***6. Thruman Murman from Roti Rolls - Thank you inforoo for turning me on to this. My group was very appreciative and so was my stomach
Honorable mention: Papadosio, Hundred Waters, Father John Misty
Honorable disappointments: Vince Staples, Third Eye Blind, BØRNS
This will definitely go down as one of my more memorable Bonnaroos, loved being able to avoid crowds and get up close for most shows I wanted to see. They finally fixed the sight lines at the What and Which (despite replacing trees with the silent disco) I've read that some people were complaining about the vibes being negative. I guess I was lucky, besides the random D-Bag every now and then I still felt like the spirit of Bonnaroo was alive and well.
I couldn't get anything on this all weekend. I'm glad it was memorable. Any other thoughts/comments on the set?

Nice. Yeah, I also find Nicole pretty great and highly unique. They brought Chance and Skrillex (playing guitar) out on Colbert last week. That was pretty cool and is up on YouTube (different live version of show me love). The issue I had at Voodoo with them was the soft parts were just bled over by Flow Tribe cranked to 11 so it was distracting. But that was only a small part of it. They seem to me like they're not really looking for the spotlight which probably does make live shows somewhat uncomfortable. Nichole herself is a concert pianist, so I think she can handle it. It's the rest of the band seems a little shy. But they were still great, and this was one of the shows I wish Red Bull TV would have streamed.
FWIW, I had the live stream: 1) Papadosio; 2) Dead & Company; 3) J. Cole; 4) Lamb of God; 5) LCD. I also liked Andra Day, M83, Daughter, Tyler the Creator (!), Floozies, Kamasi, Death Cab, Clutch, Claypool/Lennon, Lolawolf, The Oh Hellos, Lettuce & Wood Brothers.

1. LCD Soundsystem - After waiting 4-5 hours, I wound up front row and perfectly center. I was overwhelmed by the insane energy of the band and of the people around me who were also enjoying it as much as me. I Can Change was angelic live, and Dance Yrself Clean made me cry, especially when the fireworks went off. Probably my favorite Roo memory ever 2. Father John Misty - So glad I was there for Father's Sunday service. Waited since Cymande for second row, front and center. I wasn't expecting such an awesome show! Josh's vocals were flawless, and his attitude/stage banter was expected, but still hilarious. The Ideal Husband was insane, and I Love You, Honeybear was so fun, especially when he "crowd-surfed" on all of us in the front row. 3. FIDLAR - I waited through Jarryd James and Daughter for my front row and center spot here because last time I saw them I was in the back. I was expecting it to be insane, and was not disappointed. The cover of Sabotage was one of my highlights of the weekened. I have never been more sweaty in my entire life. My Odd Future shirt was drenched, and probably permanently ruined, but it was so, so worth it. 4. Dead & Co - I'm a pretty big Grateful Dead fan I guess, but I just chilled in the back of the field for this set after listening to Lord Huron. I got to hear a few of my favorites live (Fire on the Mountain, Scarlet Begonias) and I had a blast. My cousin and I were entertaining all of the people around us by dancing really, really strangely. I had a great time, and John Mayer sounded pretty good, I guess. 5. Pearl Jam - I'm a casual fan of Pearl Jam. Got close for a while, then retired to go get some mac and cheese. I listened to the rest of the set, and thought it was great. Eddie Vedder sounded great, and I think they put on a great show. Just wish they played a few more of my favorites.

LCD Soundsystem- I am so glad I had the chance to see LCD live and at Bonnaroo. I loved their set but wished it was longer. Lizzo- I had this one on my list but I'm always iffy about seeing rappers live. Just a couple minutes after arriving, the whole tent was bouncing, jumping, dancing. Her music is fun and uplifting. Her dancers were amazing. She, herself can sing and rap with such energy and quality. All female crew. Loved everything about this set. FKJ- I danced more at this set than any others. His set was sexy, dancey, sad, and he played so many instruments. Bluegrass SuperJam- I always love the bluegrass superjam and the folks there know how to play together. I especially loved Lee Ann Womack's performance. Big Grams- Though I didn't stay for the whole thing, because I was exhausted and had wasted time at the SuperJam (ugh), I loved the set and it reminded me what Bonnaroo late nights should be.
1. Tame Impala- was great from near the front, one of my favorites, first time seeing them live was phenomenal 2. Leon Bridges- the dude covered Genuwine which was one of my top moments and also the rest of his set was fantastic 3. Lettuce- fucking lettuce. 4. Dead & Co.- as someone who has never been a huge Dead fan, I wasn't expecting much. Now I know the reason they have such a big following. They were incredible 5. LCD Soundsystem- I wasn't really old enough to appreciate them when they were popular and I left a little more than halfway through their set because I thought Tame would be more crowded so I was gonna get a spot. The half I did see was incredible and the sedan sized disco ball made it that much better HM: Father John Misty, Pearl Jam, Saint motel, Nathaniel Rateliff, Ellie Goulding, Chris Stapleton
