I would love for Noel Gallagher to be on this lineup. That would be a big draw for me. Not sure how his touring schedule is and how often he plays shows
They played to like 20 people in the middle of the afternoon in 2013.
One of those twenty people was David Byrne.
Edit: oops didn't see postjacks post. I was there too. 19 inforooers and Byrne. I think more than 20 was there. Plus, if you were anywhere on the farm you were sort of there. That bass was vibrating the ground.
I liked the WTF? faces on people as they walked by the tent.
The Pixies are working on a new album.....don't fuck this up Bonnaroo.
Where would Pixies be billed? 8-12 range?
Yeah most likely, I would like them to have the NMH/Tears For Fears slot, but I could also see them closing the Which Stage Sunday night. Pixies into The Cure headlining Sunday night would a dream come true.
David Byrne and Annie Clark were in the side stage pit at the Swans show. Byrne was drinking a Miller High Life.
some pics from Swans to assist us in determining crowd size as well as nature of David Byrne's beverage:
^^^Byrne. Ashamed to admit I said he was drinking a high life but I'm pretty sure that's a Miller Genuine Draft.
^^^Byrne and Annie
^^^Crowd shot which captured most of the crowd
^^^Picture behind me during show. I think I was trying to capture the dark clouds rolling in. After Swans started playing there was thunder and a chilly breeze. It was rad. Anyway shows how small the crowd was.

Did you ask either for a picture with them or say hi? I know that they were there to see Swans and not talk to fans but do I care that I made Dan Aurebach a little angry when I asked for a picture with him in front of a big crowd? No because I got a sweet picture with Dan Auerbach

nah because there was a huge empty pit between us so I couldn't even walk up if I wanted to. I think there was the RLARs pit and they were in the artist/sidestage area.
i never approach celebrities or ask for pictures/autographs anymore. but when i was a kid i got OJ Simpson's autograph in the Atlanta airport.

If they announce where they are going after the show and we show up, I am asking for a photo. If they are in the pit right by me, I am asking for a photo. Anywhere else, I don't ask for a photo.
My dream is a Jim solo set, Ray Lamontagne with the rest of the guys, and an MMJ-hosted superjam. I'm also betting on Jim though. Then MMJ in 2018
I doubt Ray will still be touring with them by then but who knows. I would really like a Carl set but I'm guessing that would have to be a cafe set
Yeah Ray never seems to tour two years in a row, but I'm holding out a sliver of hope that maybe he's having such a good time that he'll keep this one going. A Carl set would also be appreciated. The stuff he's put out from the new album is all really good
I now not only want a Gary Clark Jr. Return, but also think he is extremely deserving of a late night set. He just played a surprise set at Antone's (small club in Austin) that went for 2.5 hours till 1:15 am. Tons of guests (local artists) and overall an amazing performance.

Are there any acts that Roo has tried to book multiple times with no success?
Prince. I'm not sure if they ever tried for Bonnaroo but I remember AC saying that they tried to book Portishead for Moogfest.
I would live Portishead. How much pull would they have as a headliner though? I wasnt into fests at the time so Im clueless on how the turnout for their show was at Coachella.

Since this thread has been dormant for a few days, what do you all think the chances of Frank Ocean playing next year are if he finally releases his album? Some other groups I think would make sense are:
Modest Mouse (performing The Lonesome Crowded West, a man can dream right?) Brand New Bad Suns Deftones The Infamous Stringdusters Bastille The Front Bottoms Balance and Composure? Lil Yachty Touche Amore? Foxing
and a lot more that have been mentioned in here already, just trying to get the discussion going again
